March 2013 - coldish 25cl bottle. A little worried because I didn’t like the grand cru much, and this smells like vinegar……Red brown colour, high carbonation, apple juice with a sour finish, sherry notes, light to mid body, enduring sweet and sour finish which has a lot of balance to it. No bitterness. There is still a slight element of vinegar, but only very subtle and could even be lemon. This is actually an enjoyable and interesting flavour. A very good beer. I’ve had to give this beer an aroma rating of 6 in order to give it the overall ’4’ it deserves...but really the aroma rating should be 2.

Bottle. Dark brown colour, hazy, minimal head. Aroma is mostly raisin and red currant, also some vanilla and wood. Lightly sour, light sweetness. Light body, lively carbonation. Not very intensive in taste, but still very good.

This is one of my favourite beers in general. Light, smooth, refreshing. Perfect for a warm summer day!

Couple of glasses at restaurant near Brussels. Deep clear red, aroma of raspberry and berries. Taste is medium sweet with nice sour bite. Cherries and summer fruits, very drinkable. Body is a little weak ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Ribena with some tang a touch watery. Its older brother is far better. Medium sweet with a touch of tartness. Yummy but noth as yummy as Gran Cru.

Pours clear reddish-amber with a thick beige head. Tart cherries, dark malt, balsamic, wood, yeast. Moderate carbonation, light bodied. Sweet and sour finish. Tasty and very refreshing.

Chyba można zaliczyć Rodenbacha do piwnych klasyków...
