3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Carried home from Belgium. Flavor is a bit simple: lactic acid and some Brett. No depth. Metallic notes that I recognize from De Dolle (who rumor goes got their yeast from Rodenbach pre-Palm). I'm not sure what to do with the metallic notes--seem out of place without hops.

Bottle, 250 ml, shared with JFK10000. Pours brown red with small off-white head. Fruity, cherries, wood, oak, vinous, vinegar. Light sweetness with moderate sourness. Not that complex. thepatrickman (1358) - Jevington, East Sussex, ENGLAND - JUL 4, 2017
Bottle at home. Sour and sweet, this definely makes an impression on your taste buds. There’s so much young beer in here, though, that the malty sweetness and fruitiness really dominate. Tastes more like a sweetened fruit beer than a true sour, but there’s enough soothes hiding in the background it’d make a good introductory beer for people trying their first sours.

Bottle from la superette à biere. I gues they change the label and name, my says Rodenbach classic on a White label, there is no entry for it. Nice sourness, well balanced, good sour ale PowY (758) - AUSTRIA - JUN 30, 2017
250 ml bottle, bb 10.10.2018. Pours a nearly clear chestnut brown with a light-beige head. The aroma is fruity, lightly acidic and sour with unripe berries and lightly yeasty with faint woody notes. Medium watery body with a medium to lively carbonation, a light sourness and a light bitterness. The flavor starts fruity with red currant, gooseberries and hints of cherries and plums along with some malt (toasted bread, light caramel). Finishes dry with soft, tart woody notes. Not in particular special but balanced and very smooth to drink.

Wąchając to piwo przychodzi na myśl jedno skojarzenie, czerwone wino. W smaku dosyć słodkie, lekko migdałowe. Bardzo lekkie i odświeżające. Genialna klasyka. hman43 (1588) - Pinehurst, North Carolina, USA - JUN 17, 2017
It pours a cloudy brown with a tan head. Head retention is low, but there is lacing on the side. It has a toast aroma with tart cherries and some plums. The flavor are tart and have a balance of tart cherries and toast. There is a low level of wood and background sweet notes. It has a moderate body with a sweet tart finish. Overall, the toast makes this an intriguing beer with the fruit flavors taking over in the finish.
