Bottle. Pours opaque cola brown rouge with a tinged red light tan head. Not altogether too resilient, but leaving a ring around the tulip. Sweet malts underly a vinegar sour tart cherry and woody character on the nose. Very refreshing spritzy carbonation and creamy light spritzy mouthfeel, light medium body, sweet malts balanced with a sour tartness and subtle woody notes. Finish is lightly sweet, with the sour tarness coming through balancing for a very satisfying finish.

Botella de @Vivalavirra, Oviedo. 25/06/27. BBD:28/05/17. Color ambarino pequeńa corona de espuma blanca, aromas acidos, sabores ácidos con toques a cereal cuerpo ligero.

Wąchając to piwo przychodzi na myśl jedno skojarzenie, czerwone wino. W smaku dosyć słodkie, lekko migdałowe. Bardzo lekkie i odświeżające. Genialna klasyka.

It pours a cloudy brown with a tan head. Head retention is low, but there is lacing on the side. It has a toast aroma with tart cherries and some plums. The flavor are tart and have a balance of tart cherries and toast. There is a low level of wood and background sweet notes. It has a moderate body with a sweet tart finish. Overall, the toast makes this an intriguing beer with the fruit flavors taking over in the finish.

Can in brusselles. Deep copper colour small white head disappears fast. Nose is acetic, woody. Taste is light sourness, red berries. Fast finish, low carbonation. Nice and easy.

Bottle bought in Porto, Portugal, 06/2017. BB 28.5.2018. Dark amber, decent head. Beautiful. Aroma fairly weak, sour, cherries. Taste sour in a vinegary way, fairly sweet, dark berries. Mouthfeel slightly thin. This is a beer that you either love or hate. I am on the borderline myself. The bottle wass too warm due to hot weather, and this will have had an impact; should be fairly cool when consumed.

Darwenus (1113) - Virginia, USA - JUN 14, 2017
Pours cloudy brown/red. The brief head is gone in an instant. The aroma is tart and bright. Cherries, red wine vinegar, a little bit of brown sugar. Flavor starts out bittersweet and smooth, the sourness comes in on the back of the tongue. Rich on the finish. Might be a good introduction to the style, the sourness is unmistakable but not overwhelming.

Aromat czerwonych owoców, delikatnie octowy, delikatnie kwaśny. W smaku słodkie, nieco nut czerwonych owoców, kwaśność na niskim poziomie. Pina średnio wysoka - grube pęchrzyki, dosyć trwała. Niezłe, choć jednowymiarowe,

0.25 l can from Carrefour brugge. Quite red with some head. Quite sour and fruity, some sweetness. Quite fizzy.

27/05/2017 - 75cl bottle (BBF 2015) @Peter’s house. Surprised to see I didn’t rate this yet. Maybe too obvious because I find and drink it regularly. Murky brown with creamy tanned head. Nose is soft sour, wood, dark malts, some cherry. Taste is dark malts, some caramel, bit port, soft sour, some wood, some cherry, somewhat creamy mouthfeel. Really surprised by this vintage one. Didn’t expect it to become like this. Nice.

Piwo barwy czerwonej, klarowne, piana w zasadzie żadna. Generalnie lekkie i orzeźwiające. Wysycenie średnie. Goryczki brak.
