11.2oz Bottle. The pour was a dark cranberry red with an average (1-2 finger) light brown fizzy head that fully diminished in a short time, leaving behind virtually no lacing at all. The aroma was quite compelling with some sweet malts and a tart Brett yeast, along with notes of dark fruit (black cherry, raspberry and cassis), candi sugar and a slight port wine presence. The taste was bold and flavorful with a malty sweet tartness and a good fruity note along with some candi sugar to start, then became nice and yeasty with a strong sour port presence towards the end. The flavor lasted an average duration following the swallow, with a fruity sour wine taste fading ever so slowly. Mouthfeel was a about medium in body and dry in texture with an almost medium carbonation. Overall this brew creates a fruity sour explosion on the taste buds, which I personally love. It has tons and tons of flavor, a fantastic drinkability and possesses a low ABV. Damn its good...

Brick-red/brown color. Minor head. Thick and very opaque. Dark, sugary balsamic vinegar sourness. Lots of deep cherry and brown sugar. Flavor is more sour/sugary business, with a finish of dark cherry. Slick and slippery on the palate. Surprising that its only 5.2% considering how flavor-packed it is. Its a very very good beer, sour and just booming with sugary-sour flavors.

Clear, red beer with no head. Nice aroma, quit sweet, noticable acetic acid, funky. Really good taste, sour, slightly sweet, balanced and complex. Average cabonation. Typical flanders red ale.

A standard for fans of the style and a great intro for those that arent. Not as good as the Grand Cru but then basically nothing is. Thick brown rubies dissipate into light cherry vinegar and sour Belgian soil. Nifty.

Bottle. Dark ruby red, subdued sourness, some sweetness, dark cherries. Refreshing. Light sour, dry finish. (2008)

Bottle - aroma is almost undetectable, perhaps just a slight hint of sour. Pous a clear dark ruddy colour. Tastes sour but uninspiring. This is the cheaper younger brother of GrandCru Rodenbach. Don't waste your hard earnt money on it, get the GrandCru, the real deal, or go one step further and get a bottle the Duchesse. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught. Pours a dark opaque reddish brown with a lasting thin light beige head. Aroma is of cherries, cranberry, nuts, caramel. Taste is of toffee, cherry, berries, dried fruit, slightly bitter finish. Oily mouthfeel, soft to medium carbonation.

Rorys Birthday bottles, pours red clear with a little head. Explosive taste which you could dip your chips in, but refreshingly drinkable. Sour cherries, tart fruit, sweet malt. Different and very nterestiing. A great break in an evenings tasting.

Unusually in can from Bradleys in Cork. Pour red winy, with slight sour tart, but easy drinking and refreshing. No problem with the can.
