Drank 03-05-2016 in Cafe Samson while watching Bayern - Atletico with Patrick, Kaspar and Dave. Nice stout. Not that complex, but fine chocolate taste. Pleasant.

Bottle (rating from 2015): Black color, creamy brown head. Aroma with peated malt, roastiness, shy acid notes, sourly dark berries, some alcohol. Flavor is sourly/swet, dark fruits, berries, peat, some sweetness, caramel, dark chocolate, rum plums. Very complex, tasty brew.

330ml Bottle - Black with a small head. Liquorice, coffee, peat and some hints of plain chocolate in the aroma. Roasted, moderately smoky and slightly sweet taste with liquorice, coffee, cocoa, ash and some hints of vanilla. Complex and fairly rich yet easy to drink.

Quite a lot of peat and smoke in this beer, causing disbalance. After a while the peat lessens and more flavors come alive. I don't mind a bit of smoke or peat but in this beer I find it too heavy. That's a shame because it is a nice stout and it could be much more. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bouteille partagée par SlovakSniper. 06/01/2017. Un liquide brun avec une mousse timide. Un nez qui empeste l’iode et la salle d’autopsie. Une bouche sous le même registre, le sous-sol de «six feet under», soit de l’iode. Vraiment pas mon genre.

SlovakSniper (5561) - Candiac, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 5, 2016
T.H.T. 06-01-2017. Corps brun avec petit anneau de mousse. Au nez et en bouche, iode et cuir, mousse de tourbe, mélasse, contours médicinaux. Corps moyen-faible avec un jeu faible des bulles. Finale iodée avec des pointes de mélasse amère. Correct.

A 0,33cl bottle from the Craftbeerspezialist.de. Nice dark brown color. Tast is intensive and strong. Nice tast of espresso and dark chocolate. A great porter.

Medium aroma of malts, caramel, bread, dark fruit, liquorice, chocolate, roasted malts, smoke and peat.

Opaque dark brown/black beer with heavy yeast and with a medium brown/dark brown head.

Starts medium/heavy sweet with malts, dark fruit, liquorice and chocolate; ends slightly bitter and dry with bread, roasted malts, smoke and peat.

This beer is intense, complex and balanced. Extremely sweet start with a lot of dark fruit and liquorice. The excessive smoke, and even slight peat, at the end balances the whole beer.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; dark brown pour with a thin tan head, aroma has dark fruits, smoke and some charred roast malts, taste has smoke, some plain chocolate, dark fruits, bitter coffee, slick mouth feel.

CraftBeerNick (2476) - London Town, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 15, 2016
Bottle at home, 15th January 16. Pours black, big tan head on it that takes a while to dissipate. Aroma is smokey, cocao, roasted malts. Taste is smooth, smokey, toasty, roasty malt, chocolate, fairly bitter. Really good
