Bottle. Dark brown with a lively medium head. Slight sour which put me off. Not sure if this was intended or poor bottling. This tended to distract me but there where some pleasant flavours in the background trying to break through. A bit weird.

Pitch black with a thick beige lacing. Roasted malts, cherries, cocoa and a bit of peat. The medium carbonation together with the medium to full body makes the mouthful very pleasant. Roasty chocolate aftertaste.

Drank 03-05-2016 in Cafe Samson while watching Bayern - Atletico with Patrick, Kaspar and Dave. Nice stout. Not that complex, but fine chocolate taste. Pleasant.

330ml Bottle - Black with a small head. Liquorice, coffee, peat and some hints of plain chocolate in the aroma. Roasted, moderately smoky and slightly sweet taste with liquorice, coffee, cocoa, ash and some hints of vanilla. Complex and fairly rich yet easy to drink.

Quite a lot of peat and smoke in this beer, causing disbalance. After a while the peat lessens and more flavors come alive. I don't mind a bit of smoke or peat but in this beer I find it too heavy. That's a shame because it is a nice stout and it could be much more. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
