Bouteille partagée par SlovakSniper. 06/01/2017.

Correct.

Aroma:
Medium aroma of malts, caramel, bread, dark fruit, liquorice, chocolate, roasted malts, smoke and peat.

Appearance:
Opaque dark brown/black beer with heavy yeast and with a medium brown/dark brown head.

Taste/Palate:
Starts medium/heavy sweet with malts, dark fruit, liquorice and chocolate; ends slightly bitter and dry with bread, roasted malts, smoke and peat.

Overall:
This beer is intense, complex and balanced. Extremely sweet start with a lot of dark fruit and liquorice. The excessive smoke, and even slight peat, at the end balances the whole beer.

Bottle in trade from Douberd, many thanks! Pours dark brown with quickly disappearing tan head. Aroma of sugar, coffee, cherries and smoked ham. Lightly smoked taste with dark fruits, light coffee. Lingering peated finish. Just too much smoke for me.

Bottle 33cl. Deep dark black with a red glow. Tiny light brown head, again with a red glow. Head fades quickly. Strong aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, sugar. The taste starts with an intense flavour of dark chocolate and sugar, but develops quickly into a deep bitterness and leaves you with a warm glow of alcohol. Good!
