Clear dark black brown color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt malt, peat - smoke. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, peat, chocolate, dark malt, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dark roasted, chocolate, licorice, yeasty, tart licorice. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. 
33 cl bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is mild smoked, toffee malty and light caramelish. Dark malty, smoked and overripe fruity caramelish. Bitter and dark toffee malty. 33 cL bottle at Arendsnest. Pours pitch black with a one finger thick, creamy and tan head. Aroma is roasted malty and breadish. Light liqourice and vague smoked. Dense malty, hardroasted towards light acidic. Burned and slight astringent. Thick malty and dry into the finish.

é de Koffer, Groningen. Quite much black colour, small brown head. Aroma is toffee, some toasted malts, liquorice and mild ashy notes. Flavour is alcohol, toffee, wooden and some mild ashy notes to it.
Bottle. Very dark maroon color, brown head. Aroma of boozy milk chocolate. Taste is latte macchiato. Very nice.

On tap at the Wildeman. Very dark red - brown beer which is clear. Decent darkish tan head. Softish palate, slightly dry and fairly smooth. Smooth dark malt with well integrated mild smooth coffee and a whisper of dark chocolate. Liquorish in the background. Well joined up porter, flavoursome and easy drinking.

Tap at ’t Arendsnest. Dark brown pour with a light, tan head. Cocoa roast aroma, sweet dark malts. Quite sweet flavor, medium roasty, dry coffee, some dark fruits, chocolate straight. Medium in body with fine carbonation. Rich chocolate finish, malty, sweet, light to medium roast. Good beer.
