33cl bottle. Poured black colored, thin brown head. Woody, roasted malty aroma, some licorice, strong coffee notes. Pleasant aroma overall.
Some red wine notes actually. Flavor has roasted malt, cocoa, dark chocolate, hops. Long, but quite dry finish, some vinous notes, roast. Easy to drink despite the high ABV. Very tasty. AndySnow (7552) - Huddinge, SWEDEN - OCT 21, 2016

33cl Bottle: BBD 31st Oct 15, poured into a Leffe chalice at home on 26th Apr 14. My 5th beer in a random tasting evening with myself!
A deep and dark tanned bubbly head sat on top of a truly ruby red body, the head falling away as I wrote these words, how sad!
The aroma was of ground coffee combined with old cocoa beans and vanilla pods, as was the taste: some hints of bitterness and sourness in there somewhere too. Chocolate can sometimes be bitter, and this is maybe what I picked up? Rich and alcoholic in the body, almost smooth: I really enjoyed it. caesar (7097) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - JAN 31, 2014
Bottled, NP-177, BB Aug 13 2015, large sample. Dark brown color, short creamy brown head. Aroma of dark roasted malts, hint of peat (ingredients say peated malt), dark chocolate, dark bread. Quite bitter taste, dark bread again, bit fruity bitterness as well, slight dry. Interesting brew.
I guess I had the peated version, though it was not explicitly mentioned. Borresteijn (6965) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - JUN 10, 2012
