On tap at Rodenburg tap take over Van Moll. Dark, black pour with mocca foam. Aroma of rich chocolate, leather, light smokiness. Taste is malty, quite saline, leathery, smoky, salty licorice. Palate is med-full bodied with good carbonation. Tasty. caesar (7170) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - JAN 31, 2014
Bottled, NP-177, BB Aug 13 2015, large sample. Dark brown color, short creamy brown head. Aroma of dark roasted malts, hint of peat (ingredients say peated malt), dark chocolate, dark bread. Quite bitter taste, dark bread again, bit fruity bitterness as well, slight dry. Interesting brew.
I guess I had the peated version, though it was not explicitly mentioned. Moolesen (587) - NETHERLANDS - FEB 26, 2014
Bottle 33cl. Black with a coffee brown foam head. Nose of tar, dark chocolate, fresh hops. Very rich taste. Chocolate, coffee combined with a nice bitter finish. Very nice beer. DwarfeD (3540) - Amersfoort, NETHERLANDS - MAR 19, 2014
33cl bottle at home. Dark brown with a medium beige head. Medium body with light to moderate carbonation. Sweet, smoky and some bitter tones. Roasted malts, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, spices and smoke. A very decent porter. Patjeadam (158) - NETHERLANDS - MAR 22, 2014
Sweet smell. First taste combines bitter chocolate with red fruits. It is more port than porter. The flowery hops add some depth. Nice porter.

Bottle from Bierkoning, thanks! Chocolate liqueur in the aroma, with notes of coffee and leather, minor traces of coconut milk and vanilla. Full and velvety smooth on the palate, sweet-tartish and light fruity. Chocolatey throughout with a strong bitterness of bitter chocolate, accompanied by notes of coffee and intense roast. Delicious. blackisle (2763) - Amsterdam IJburg, NETHERLANDS - APR 15, 2014

33cl Bottle: BBD 31st Oct 15, poured into a Leffe chalice at home on 26th Apr 14. My 5th beer in a random tasting evening with myself!
A deep and dark tanned bubbly head sat on top of a truly ruby red body, the head falling away as I wrote these words, how sad!
The aroma was of ground coffee combined with old cocoa beans and vanilla pods, as was the taste: some hints of bitterness and sourness in there somewhere too. Chocolate can sometimes be bitter, and this is maybe what I picked up? Rich and alcoholic in the body, almost smooth: I really enjoyed it. SimonBeer (113) - Amersfoort, NETHERLANDS - JUN 3, 2014
(Drinking date: 3 June 2014) Pitchblack beer with a creamy beige layer of foam. Looks delicious! Aroma of smoke, wood, coffee, pure chocolate and metal. The taste is bitter, like a coffee-bitterness. The aftertaste is sweet with bitter, like chocolate-sweetness. All the way through the beer there is also a smoky taste. Nice taste. The mouthfeel is almost perfect. Flat to medium carbonation with an almost soft body (just slightly watery). Really nice beer! I am not a fan of the smoky taste, but it is not too much in this beer, so this beer is still really good. That’s why I give it the total score of 4.0! antonstoop (296) - - JAN 25, 2015
