Bottle. A black beer with a small tan head. Coffee made over campfire vibes at first in aroma. Also some chocolate later on. Burnt wood, licorice and bitter cocoa notes in taste. Roasted dark malty and ashy finish. Takes a turn between sweet and bitter this one. Quite nice.

330ml bottle at home, thanks to MonsterMagnet (European Local swap 2/2015). Black color with brown head. Roasted malty aroma, chocolate - milk chocolate, some coffee and licorice, nice smoked notes. Taste is sweet and bitter very much like the aroma, chocolate coffee and smoked. Medium to full oily to creamy body with soft carbonation.

Bottle at home, 15th January 16. Pours black, big tan head on it that takes a while to dissipate. Aroma is smokey, cocao, roasted malts. Taste is smooth, smokey, toasty, roasty malt, chocolate, fairly bitter. Really good

Aroma:
Medium aroma of malts, caramel, bread, dark fruit, liquorice, chocolate, roasted malts, smoke and peat.

Appearance:
Opaque dark brown/black beer with heavy yeast and with a medium brown/dark brown head.

Taste/Palate:
Starts medium/heavy sweet with malts, dark fruit, liquorice and chocolate; ends slightly bitter and dry with bread, roasted malts, smoke and peat.

Overall:
This beer is intense, complex and balanced. Extremely sweet start with a lot of dark fruit and liquorice. The excessive smoke, and even slight peat, at the end balances the whole beer.

Prima Spul

Bottle traded with Borresteijn. Thanks a bunch! As my rating no. 4500. It pours pitch black with a creamy tan head. The aroma is hard roasted malt, light peat, liquorice and bitter coffee. The flavour is roasted and bitter with strong notes of liquorice and bitter coffee. Long bitter roasted finish. Very nice.

Draft @ wvhnb, thanks for hooking us up! Aroma is liquorice, smoke, roasted malts, bread, molasses and ash. Flavour is a little less sweet then the regular, more roast and ash. Also notes of coffee, molasses and roasted malt and peat. Great beer.
