mjs (7946) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JAN 1, 2016(Bottle, 0.33 l - BB 14-10-2016, at Viisi Penniä, 20160101) The beer poured mahogany red and hazy. Its head was medium sized and nearly white. Aroma had molassess, caramel, chocolate and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, caramel, molassess, grass, herbalness and bitterness. Afteraste was sweet, malty and bitter. A complex brew: starts very sweet and malty but the hops turn the brew rather spicy and herbal towards the finish.

8% ABV. Pours dark brown, slightly redish, slightly cloudy. Single finger tan head. Aroma of sweet malts, raisins, plums, alcohol....Taste of initial dark malts, toffee, caramel then some yeast, smokiness, dark fruits, raisins, plums, cherries, and a whack from the alcohol. Nice.

bottom. Fruity buttery toffee aroma with seeds of paradise and
licorice notes. Sweet roasty syrupy linoleum taste with mealy
chocolate notes. Full-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish roasty
sherry aftertaste with toffee syrup and earth notes. Nice and
drinkable, but perhaps a bit dense and heavy. (0.33l bottle, I have no
idea where from. Batch #134.)
MonsterMagnet (1723) - NETHERLANDS - FEB 8, 2015Bottle, batch SCR-195 (bb nov 2015), 8% abv. Pours murky brown with a frothy off-white head. Aroma: medicinal, honey. Taste: berries, nuts, peat, caramel, cocoa, moss. Medium sweet and bitter (3 IBU according to label?!), fairly thin body, long bitter earthy finish. This is a weird beer, one moment it’s good, the next something’s off.

Aroma is sweet with notes of caramel, milk chocolate and bread dough. Taste is medium sweet, with more notes of caramel, bread, dried fruits, and spices in the finish. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, ok
