Bottle. Clear golden liquid. Moderate white head. Low retention. Aroma: malts, sulfur. Light body. Taste: light malty sweetness and ... nothing else. DoctorHU (586) - UKRAINE - MAY 10, 2017
500 ml bottle. Straw color with medium white head. Aroma of grain, dough and grass with a hint of caramel. The taste is a fruity, gooseberry, dough, and light bitter finish with a touch of fusel alcohols, which reminds you what you are actually drinking. Soft carbonation. pinia (430) - Lviv, UKRAINE - JUL 11, 2016

Strange one on my current tour of Ukrainian zhyhulivske beers. Thought it was a fake bottle at first (purchased down here in Odesa, 33.8 oz bottle), with strange and strong notes of alcohol (even at 4.5 percent!) and grapes (grapes!). But seems legit and is actually kind of refreshing...surprising balance there. Will have to rerate a different batch! alex_leit (5025) - Minsk, BELARUS - JUN 20, 2016
Bottle 500 ml. Typical lager. Sraw-golden color. Aroma and taste: malty, no hops, dough, soft and watery.

Водяни лагер. Очень слабо. Невкусн& YantarCoast (1476) - Moscow, RUSSIA - JUL 3, 2015
500ml bottle, brewed in Ivanovo, but I don’t really think it’s worth making a Russia entry for this beer. Pours clear gold with a small white head. Aroma is sweet and grainy. Taste is slightly sweet, bready and rather watery. Doesn’t stand out from the other Zhigis. dnicolaescu (2683) - Chișinău, MOLDOVA - APR 25, 2015
UPDATED: DEC 11, 2015 BOTTLE 50 CL. Clear yellow-golden, white head with so so retention. Weak aroma of white bread and insecticide. The taste is sweetish, mineral water, so fusel and hops at all! Horrible. 3-2-4-1-7=1,7

25-APR-2015. CAN 50 CL. Clear golden with a white frothy head. Aroma... What!? Hoppy with notes of gooseberry and other tart and astringent fruit, some yeast an dough - feels much like a belgian blonde. The taste is a hybrid between a blonde and a macro-lager - fruity, gooseberry, dough, and light bitter finish with a touch of fusel alcohols, which reminds you what you are actually drinking. Soft carbonation. Decent and bizarre. 6-3-5-3-12=2,9
one more beer (ahh ok Pale Lager) about nothing. Have to type something to get required minimum Zarkam (539) - Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 5, 2013
500ml bottle from supermarket in Vyborg, made by Sun-Inbev Ivanovo and also by a bunch of their breweries in Russia, abv between 4.5 and 4.7%, characteristics seem very similar to the Ukranian version by the same joint so I put here, recipe is the Soviet now public domain one anyway. Light gold colour, small white head, aroma of grain, dough and grass with a hint of caramel, taste is stale bitter and somewhat metallic, abrupt metallic and slightly sweet finish, light body, medium carbonation. Drinkable but not very pleasant Soviet lager, nuff said.
