KeefOz (1838) - Tarragindi, AUSTRALIA - DEC 3, 2015
Draught at Regatta Hotel, Brisbane. Poured a crystal clear coppery colour with 5mm of off-white foam that diminished quickly to a collar that laced OK. Aroma subtly of sweet caramel malt with no obvious hops; a bit like a sweet lager. Taste is bland; no obvious bitterness; lager-like. Light body. Crisp, smooth and refreshing. Very much like a dark sweet lager rather than an ale.

330ml bottle (K Kamppi, Helsinki)
Bland caramelly lager aroma. Pale orange. Taste also just bland caramelly and lagery. Rough finish, a bit metallic. If this is an ale, I’m a goat fucker.

Tap. Chestnut brown, low white head. Light blueberry notes on caramel and a hint toasty notes. Medium light body, mellow body. Light fruity finish. Restrained flavors, easy quaffable in the heat.

I go back and forth on how much I like this and it depends on whether you have it on tap or from a bottle. Tap is as you’d expect better, and stronger but it does leave for of a lingering bitter aftertaste on the palate. Bottle not as full a flavour and less of an aftertaste. Overall a pretty great beer AND for a mid strength it has the most flavour of any I have had to date. If I want a mid strength - this this is my go to beer

0.33 l bottle from local supermarket. Dark amber colour and small head. Looks like English bitter, but this has Australian hops and that’s what makes this one interesting. Quite refreshing.

A copper beer, a head is small and blond. Aroma has toffeeish maltyness with bready notes, lemony and wooden hoppyness. Surprisingly fresh. Taste has caramel and some fruits, also lemon, mild bitterness. Also taste is fresh. Light bodied, but not watery, slightly short end. Actually, quite good beer with nice freshness even the habitus is different.

A lightly flavoured malty beer with elements of caramel and herbs. A tiny bit of bitterness mixed with sweetness with a very clear carbonation on your tongue. Alright beer to drink for fun!
