Bomber. Poured an opaque black with a mammoth tan head, and tons of lacing though out. Taste of roasted and slightly toasted malts, cocoa, dry fruit, slightly bitter smoke finish. High carbonation, medium body. Phatdog1 (259) - Brentwood, New Hampshire, USA - DEC 29, 2013
Bomber compliments of TJ. Pitch black pour into a shaker glass (held up to the window & no light shown through). Thick, fizzy light brown head stood tall for a minute or so before I could even get in close enough for a whiff. Giant roasted (almost burnt) malt aroma with some hints of dark chocolate & slightly yeasty brown bread. Flavor of bitter coffee and cacao nibs. Ashy bitter finish. Not unpleasant, but not as smooth as I had hoped for. Seems like it should be beefier than a mere 5.7% abv. Kevin (2201) - Montana, USA - DEC 13, 2013
Black body with a lasting off white head. Smells of pear and chocolate. Flavor is a lot of roast with a unsweet cocoa flavor. I personally like a less roasty more chocolate sweet flavor. A bit thin on the body. A bit of banana and plum linger with the dry cocoa. daknole (11402) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - NOV 24, 2013
Dark brown pour, tan head. Roasty up front, some cocoa powder, ashy and a bit of hops on the finish. Headbanger (4021) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - NOV 12, 2013
22oz bottle 11/12/13 (Whole Foods’ Lamar)-Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt. Taste of the same with more chocolate and coffee. This full bodied brew is a great tasting porter.

Trade from Errl-thanks, Chris! Deep dark brown with pretty persistent head. Nose mostly dark malts maybe dark chocolate. Nice palette but pretty much just bitter malts on the taste. Dry finish. Prefer a richer fuller bodied porter. alcaponejunior (445) - Texas, USA - NOV 5, 2013
Pretty good one here, first time trying this Texas brewery.
Appearance pretty standard porter. Black and opaque with a fairly typical head and lace.
Aroma is roasty, a little astringent, with a touch of dark caramel malt, and some standard coffee, chocolate, roasty, and burnt notes. Flavor follows.
The astringent qualities make it seem like higher ABV than it is. Could maybe use a little tweaking, but don’t get me wrong, it’s tasty beer. I will have to try another from this brewery next time I’m at that store. Dogbrick (13762) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - OCT 17, 2013
Sample at Hay Merchant. Pours a dark brownish-black color with a medium foamy tan head that recedes gradually. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Light to medium body with a roasty coffee and malt character, with some chocolate in the background. The finish is semi-sweet with a mocha aftertaste. Above average overall. Bomber poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of bakers cocoa, vanilla, caramel and a hint of coffee. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of roastiness, bakers cocoa, vanilla and a hint of coffee with a smooth lingering cocoa finish. Modularman (134) - - OCT 5, 2013
From bottle pours pitch black with little brown head. Smell is smoky and syrupy Taste is dark chocolate that finishes with coffee and a little smoke Overall pretty good especially if not served too cold this beer is not nearly as filling as it appears
