Tres dark, thin khaki head. Smells bacony, not sweet. Slightly smoky, grassy dry, some smokiness. Not going to set the world on fire but drinkable, session weight. On tap, Hay Merchant, Houston. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - AUG 11, 2013
Bottle:   Thinking this may be infected, huge frothy dark beige head, will not stop foaming.   Luckily the bottle didn’t explode.   Roasty nose, slight lactose, a little ash and campfire.   Nice roasty start,
slight apple skin, semi-sweet, a little acrid.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Seems a hefty Porter, almost Stout like.   Somewhat airy, otherwise moderate body and mouthfeel.   Roasted, ashy, and campfire finish.
Lingering apple skin.   I could get over the airiness, if it had more body.   However, if it had more body it probably wouldn’t be as airy as it is.   Average Porter, decent roast, moderate hop, but perhaps over the
hill?   I sat on this for only 5 months...   Not bad, but when it comes out of an ice bath and it still foams pretty hard, it tells me a lot.   Thanks Bill! moonbug (68) - Bryan, - JUL 23, 2013
Roasted malt afire! Thwarts all light. Congregation of malts. Smokey earth smoldering. Finishes like a ghost....a vanishing. Poof!

Okay. You're just sitting there minding your own business pouring caramel syrup down your throat and a guy on PCP beats you to death with a can of pretty good coffee and you like it.

Pretty much black with a big tan head. Aroma of chocolate, roast, and light coffee. Big bitter coffee and roast taste with some slight sweetness. Medium bodied. Excellent porter.

This was sent to me by Strykzone. Thanks Dave. Poured dark brown, almost black and raised a very robust and long lasting tan head that left good lacing. The nose is roasted malts with coffee, some chocolate, and some citrus hops. Medium to bold in body, and with a rich creamy mouthfeel. The flavor is very rich and well balanced between the coffee, chocolate, and bittering and flavoring hops. Finish is flavorful, dry, and bitter. Excellent porter. loveyoumadly (6) - Austin, USA - JUN 30, 2013 does not count
Nice dark color with a little head. Super strong coffee taste that gets stronger in the aftertaste, much too bitter for me. Like drinking super dark coffee black; No sweetness at all. Will not get again.

Really nice porter with no extra bells or whistles. Mild bitter hops compliment the sweet chocolatey malt. bleeng (1682) - Seattle still not near Beersel., Washington, USA - APR 19, 2013
Bomber. Pours black and thick with a small tan head. Big coffee/chocolate/roasty nose-nice. Taste is the same with a full rich body. Just a bit of a fade on the end. Well done for a young brewery. Sammy (12491) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 6, 2013
A good very drinkable though dry porter. Solid stuff, chocolate, anise, molasses. Black and rich looking. I did the bomber, but that was still a lot of porter.
Slight smoke, a very good roastiness. Smooth mouthfeel. Bottle from Steve beerenberger.
