3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
The beer pours an amber color with an off-white head. The aroma is very spicy, as expected. I get some cinnamon and clove notes, as well as some additional spices that sort of all run together.. There is some clove and cinnamon once again, as well as some ginger and some earthy tea notes. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation
On tap at Jack Mac’s in Dallas. Pours amber with one finger of off white head. Aroma is cardamon and cinnamon. A bit overbearing. Not much else in the flavor. Overall drinkable, but overly spiced. TXGenX (8) - - MAR 3, 2015 does not count
Dark Amber. Abt one finger of tan head with small bead. Pleasant bale-shop aroma. Nutmeg, Cardamon, allspice, some cinnamon. Creamy mouthfeel. Hops up front, spices to the back. Not as cloying most gingerbread or pumpkin spice beers. Quite pleasant. 651 ml bomber purchased at HEB. Would get this again.

Poured a slightly deep amber with good lacing. Faint chai nose. In the mouth it is spicy like a chai tea. Very nice. TizzleJizzle (792) - Garland, Texas, USA - APR 13, 2014
Poured a clear amber with a thin cream top. Taste of spice, nutmeg, ginger, clove, and caramel malts. High fizzy carbonation, medium body. Quite spicy, perhaps too spicy for some

Bottle, smell of spice, taste of clove, malt, and a little hop with a clean finish Headbanger (3999) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - NOV 12, 2013
22oz bottle 11/12/13 (Whole Foodd-Lamar) Pours a dark amber with no head. Aroma of spices, roasted malt, and slight caramel. Taste of spices and more spices. Almost like Apple cider. This medium bodied brew is different and still tasty. degbert (1774) - Austin, Texas, USA - AUG 13, 2013
Bottle. Pours a very dark amber-red -- very pretty -- with a high creamy head solid as blown insulation. Nose is very strong -- lavender chai comes to mind, dry floral, vanilla and intense spices, especially cardamom. The first thing that hits the tongue is black pepper, followed by the faint anesthetic sting of clove; the floral notes are gone, replaced with black tea-like tannins and some additional baking spices. Long dry palate that stays with me. I don’t find the spices out of balance, but they are intense; you had better like that sort of thing, or just don’t bother. I do, so I will, and the numerical ratings above reflect that; reduce aroma and taste by at least three each if you’d rather drink straight quinine than chai. Your mileage may vary. Bottle shared at CPK in London. Many thanks to Bruce! Pours clear, amber-gold with a creamy white head. Lots of autumnal/ winter spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, dry gingerbread. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Dry finish, tons of spices, cinnamon, a bit of dry herbal bitterness. Tasty i you like your spiced beers.
