3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
A dark amber pour with a nice frothy tan head. Nutty roasted malt aroma. Fairly thin beer for something this dark. Flavor is a mix of toasty malt and light grapefruit pith bitterness and floweriness from the hops. A bit sour as well, but makes it that much smoother. Lingering bitter sting like that of a grapefruit. Almost like a darker English Bitter with American hops. Decent session.
From Elcervecero. In Teku glass. Watching Games of Thrones 7x01. Well executed standard american amber, without displeasing notes but a bit watery body edenfrias (3) - PANAMA - JUL 2, 2017 does not count

Copenhagen 25/5 2017. 35,5 cl bottle from Skjold Burne. What looks like an Donald Trump voter on the label including the characteristic red cap and the clenched fist. Pours hazy amber with small white head. Settles as thin layer of foam barely covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing. Aroma is in not particularly intense. Sweetish. Caramel. Soft carbonation and medium thick palate. Flavor is rather sweet followed by a medium bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet caramel with bitter notes. A little weak nose but it compensates with a fine flavor. Very nice Amber ale which is not afraid of hops. rand (1710) - SWITZERLAND - APR 29, 2017
