22 ounce bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy reddish copper color with a 2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big nutty roasted coffee, grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, caramel, toasted bread, light vanilla/cocoa, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/pine hops, coffee, and moderate dark/bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big nutty roasted coffee, grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, caramel, toasted bread, light vanilla/cocoa, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate amount of pine/citrus rind and light coffee/roast bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of coffee, grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon/orange rind, pine, caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops, coffee, and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance; with some light hop astringency building up through the glass, but never overwhelming. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness that increases through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky/resinous, fairly creamy/bready, and slightly chalky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice coffee IPA. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops, coffee, and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering. Bomber shared with dad. Awesome aroma of coffee and the coffee definitely is prevalent up front. Slight hoppy finish. A bit malty for what I was expecting for an IPA.

Pours clear rust-brown with a thick and rather persistent buff head. Aroma delivers quality roast coffee and hoppy notes plus a hint of toasted malt. Flavor features coffee, woody, sharp hoppy and toasty malt notes - coffee not quite as good as in the aroma, but still quite drinkable and distinctive. Reminds me of the vintage Peanut Butter Cup ads - thank you, YouTube - "You got IPA in my coffee!" "Well, you got coffee in my IPA!" :D :D :D Mouthfeel presents average body but plenty of fizz. 6flight tap at Geraghty’s Pub, Burlington, nj. Interesting nose, definite hops and iced coffee. Amber with a thinhead. First sip is all a clash of bitters. These two just don’t seem to meld. A few sips in, the palate acclimate and it’s yummy. ..but the finish brings back the clash. Really curious., great experiment. . .but keep the coffee in the stouts.

Bomber poured a clear reddish amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of coffes, bread and earthiness. Palate was light bodied and smoith with a dry finish. Bomber from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours darkly ruddy/copper/amber with a beige head. Aroma is coffee, but it’s a rather nice coffee. Med body at least. Flavor is very nice coffee. There seems to be some hop and malt, but the coffee is effacing those details. The finish brings out more of a typical IPA set of flavors, but I still can’t break them out. Darker than most ipas. on first whiff and taste, the coffee and heavily grapefruit citric bitter hops seem to clash, but it smooths out well. Not my favorite coffee ipa, but it’ll do :)
