Dead Guy is a German-style Maibock made with Rogue’s proprietary "PacMan" ale yeast. It is deep honey in color with a malty aroma, rich hearty flavor and a well balanced finish. Dead Guy is created from Northwest Harrington, Klages, Maier Munich and Carastan malts, along with Perle and Saaz Hops.
In the early 1990s Dead Guy Ale was created as a private tap sticker to celebrate the Mayan Day of the Dead (November 1st, All Souls Day) for Casa U Betcha in Portland, Oregon. The Dead Guy design proved popular and was incorporated into a bottled product a few years later with MaierBock as the elixir.

650ml bottle. Pours a deep gold with fluffy white head. Huge Malty nose with rich hops in behind. Light body with a sweet malt forward which continues to develop into slight hops but finishes with sweetness again. Would love to try fresh.

Sweet caramel rich malt aroma. The body is a hazy honey color with a slim head. Mild sweet caramel malt. Bold yet smooth. A new favorite.

Can. Clear amber, offwhite head. Malt and bisquit aroma, light spicy hops. Caramely bisquit flavour, honey too. Bittersweet with mild spicy hops. Pretty simple but also pretty flavourful.

12 oz bottle purchased in Birmingham. Thanks Birmingham, I had a blast!

Pours a rust color. Two fingers or so cream colored head. Excellent retention, excellent lacing. Had an insane amount of sediment at bottom of bottle. It's dark enough you can't really see it in the beer.

Aroma is sweet, honey like. Also some sort of citrus, perhaps lime, or maybe clementine. Kinda smells like raisin bread.

Taste is sweet. Caramel, honey. Sweet bread. Smooth.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied. Syrupy. Very smooth.

Overall, this is really good. I really like this. I absolutely recommend it, I would absolutely buy it again. Delicious!
