COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dead Guy is a German-style Maibock made with Rogues proprietary "PacMan" ale yeast. It is deep honey in color with a malty aroma, rich hearty flavor and a well balanced finish. Dead Guy is created from Northwest Harrington, Klages, Maier Munich and Carastan malts, along with Perle and Saaz Hops.
In the early 1990s Dead Guy Ale was created as a private tap sticker to celebrate the Mayan Day of the Dead (November 1st, All Souls Day) for Casa U Betcha in Portland, Oregon. The Dead Guy design proved popular and was incorporated into a bottled product a few years later with MaierBock as the elixir.

One of my great favourites. Malty and characterful while being quite unique at the same time. Great aroma, wonderful complex flavour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Lovely deep golden/amber color, small white head. Aromas of caramel, butter, apricot, marmelade and sugar. Sweet taste of malt, sugar, caramel, marmelade and slight hop during the finish. A bit too sweet.

Bottle from beer 52. Fruity, malty and hoppy on the nose. Great flavour, very fruity with prominent hop presence. Not had that many Bocks but this seems a bit too sweet and hoppy for the style. One things for sure though, this is a very tasty beer.

Sourdough bread aromas. Pours a cloudy golden orange with a rocky off-white head. Round banana flavors with notes of leather and a little licorice. Broad mouthfeel. Extremely nice beer.

UPDATED: OCT 26, 2016 Pours a slightly opaque red. Mild, fruity aroma. Fairly heavy carbonation. Taste has peachy undertones with hint of herbs and roasted malt. This doesn?t really taste that much like an ale, which is probably why I like it all right.
