Dead Guy is a German-style Maibock made with Rogue’s proprietary "PacMan" ale yeast. It is deep honey in color with a malty aroma, rich hearty flavor and a well balanced finish. Dead Guy is created from Northwest Harrington, Klages, Maier Munich and Carastan malts, along with Perle and Saaz Hops.
In the early 1990s Dead Guy Ale was created as a private tap sticker to celebrate the Mayan Day of the Dead (November 1st, All Souls Day) for Casa U Betcha in Portland, Oregon. The Dead Guy design proved popular and was incorporated into a bottled product a few years later with MaierBock as the elixir.

12oz bottle. Hazy reddish orange, thin off white head. Malty fruity nose. Sweet malt flavors, dark fruit, cereal. Light hops on finish, but overall this is a malt show.

På flaske til Øl-mødet. - Klar ravfarvet med en Off-white skumkrone - Smag. Karamel, citrus og nogle krydrede noter. - Stærk maltet og en mediun krop. Samlet set en rigtig god bock.

Sweet honey and caramel notes, slightly spiced. Such a beautiful dark amber colour, clear with no deposits, the head is fine too at first but sadly it’s very volatile. Tastes sweet, light body, medium-high carbonation, subtle finish. While not exactly shocking, everything about it is above average

One of my favorite beers. Smells like roasted honey and caramel. Has a great bright warm hue for an ale. Taste like an expensive cologne in a good way. Finishes perfectly. I buy sixers of this beer too regularly.

Keg at the Rake, Borough. Amber pour with a white head. Nose of toffee, caramel, apricot, candied peel. Taste of apricot jam, vanilla, caramel, toffee, tangerine. Quite nice.

Arômes de houblon, grain et quelques notes d’orange. Robe orange claire et mousse blanche. En bouche, beaucoup de corps, amertume moyenne, caramel.

Very smooth for Michelle dark but not to dark rates high for smooth balance ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

PapaCanard (139) - SWITZERLAND - MAY 28, 2017
Bière d’une belle couleur de rouille qui fournit une mousse blanche persistante. Goût puissant qui perdure. Agréable.
