Finally ventured beyond the void and purchased a bottle of this one, so here goes...
Into a snifter at just on cool. Bright copper with fine carbonation that is hasty in its ascent. Head little more than a wafer thin, compact pad of white that does hold. Biscuity sweet, malty and edged by notes of Ceylon tea, pumpernickel, burnt toast, rolled oats and puffed wheat is the breakfast cereal-esque aroma - drabby and stale. Unremarkable and honestly ho hum on the palate had me asking ’is this it!?’ Creamy, frothy, light and unconsuming on the palate. Burnt fruit dominates and is long lasting. Candyish but on the scorched side. Burnt toast, light tannins, overbrewed Earl grey and then its oily in the finish to boot. Residuallly sweet and sticky and generally not much fun to drink. ’I was up here now I am down there’ type of beer. Disappointing! ( 12fl.Oz, no date stamp, Cellarbrations Carlisle)

Piwo raczej klarowne nalewa sie z dosc obfita drobnopechrzykowa piana. Dominuja nuty slodowo-melanoidowe z domieszka karmelu i kwiatowosci. Dosc wytrawne z wysyceniem i goryczka na srednioniskim poziomie. Bardzo mi smakowal. AJCliff1983 (12) - - OCT 4, 2017

Very decent ale. Dark and bitter. Nice mustiness, good balance between caramelly sweetness and dark citrus spice.

Bread and alcohol with som apricot and a little mango. Nice, a little sweet for session tastes though.

Caramel, scotch, alcohol spiciness, toasted bread. Sweet and malty, the alcohol burn is slightly felt on the tongue. Some grassy hops in the finish, but taste relies mostly on malty flavors. Good, nonetheless. higgsbison (261) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - SEP 22, 2017
One of my favorites. Lots of character but very hard to put your finger on what it is. Very strong malt backbone with a long lingering Hoppy finish. A perfectly balanced brew. Also prominent notes of caramel and toffee and biscuit.
