One of the better Rogue beers. Nice aroma. Terrific finish. Haven't had a Rogue beer yet that I haven't enjoyed. Rogue is at the top of my list! Mooncheese999 (8) - USA - DEC 9, 2004 does not count
I’ve read other reviews and was shocked that DGA didn’t get the praise that it deserves. This is the perfect beer! It’s bitter and hoppy but it gos down smooth. I don’t know what this fridge temperature talk is about...you gotta drink this stuff luke warm. The coolest thing about this beer is that its tap is a skull...that’s friggin awsome. Praise be to rogue because they rock it somethin fierce. primusville (3) - USA - FEB 2, 2005 does not count
Probably my favorite beer from Rogue. Could be my favorite beer of all time. I like the smell of it just as much as the taste. mtrum33 (2) - Oxford, Connecticut, USA - NOV 4, 2005 does not count
This brew is like a mouth full of full flavored hops. The dead guy has a wonderful aroma that you just want to dip you nose in. Takes amber to the extreme. Very tasty! keith0718 (434) - Kansas, USA - FEB 24, 2007
UPDATED: NOV 19, 2009 Very drinkable. I’m not experienced enough to know what gives this beer it’s complex flavor, but there’s a prominent nutty-citrusy flavor throughout. Not real bitter. I nice introduction to good beer. :::::UPDATE::::: Had this Halloween ’09 after a couple more years of beer-drinking experience. WHAT A GREAT BEER! It’s unique and easy-drinking...but with some muscle behind it. [Raised a 4.3 rating to a 5.0]

This is my favorite beer, not just from Rogue, but from anyone.
Smooth, full of flavor, not too hoppy, a hint of honey and malt. Lunchb0x (20) - Prestonsburg, Kentucky, USA - MAY 24, 2013
Definitely a great brew from this brewery. I've only tried this one and the Yellow Snow IPA, but this one is better.

Im such a huge fan of the pacman yeast and use it from wyeast at my local brew shop. This is a great example of a maibock from the westcoast. Tangy and prompt. JayTeeSupreme (36) - - JUN 12, 2014
The stand alone beer, not too intense, not too light. An overall perfect beer in my opinion. I could drink this as a session beer and be good to go. Just yes.
