   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 14/20

Taster from bottle, last few notes from DLD 2011. Brown color, a little bit cloudy. No coffee or chocolate in the taste, just more of a straight, strong porter. Still very tasty. Just settles with the porter smell. That’s all the notes I dictated, clearly I am near the end of a long day of sampling.

Bottle at home from notes. Pours a dark cola brown color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malts, ashy, dark chocolate, some earthy bitterness, coffee, a hint of citrus, more drinkable than many of their beers now but not great either.

One of their better beers, a well bodied porter, pretty cleanly brewed. A good, but not spectacular porter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark near black pour. Aroma is perfect. Chocolate malt. Taste is nearly as good. Love this

"didn’t know what to expect here. the Mocha Porter is tasty, but the more expensive Imperial Porter is way overpriced and a touch boring, so... had on tap in a 16 oz plastic cup. another good brown head. aroma was rich rich rich. coffee and hops, both bitter and choclatey. some oak in the flavor too. the body was way better than the regular IP. huge coffee flavors as well, while not drowning out the beer and hoppiness."

this one is sweet, minty, and chocolate notes. easy to drink and has a cream feel. had a 22oz bottle pour at home. pours black in color with a tan head.

I rate beers I think significantly better than average, simple as that. I am not into showing off through bloviating. :)

hotstuff (5273) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - APR 18, 2014
Rated on 10-29-2011 (Bottle) This beer has a medium frothy tan head with a long retention, opaque dark brown body, very little carbonation observed, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is malt, chocolate, coffee, and pine hops. The flavor is moderately bitter, citrus, pine hops, roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate. The mouthfeel is smooth and this is a light-medium bodied beer. This beer is very quaffable with a very good flavor. It is worth trying and a beer I would drink again.

Bottle at market in panama. Dark brown black pour. Off white head. Choclate aroma. Malty cocoa taste. Bitter for a porter. Not bad

Sweasy (20) - Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA - OCT 27, 2013
Decent smell. A little too bitter for me for a mocha porter. Starts full but thins quickly.

AWISLguy (3374) - Wisconsin, USA - OCT 13, 2013
My 850th rating! Bomber from Sonoma Cellars. Pours an opaque black with a chocolate milk head leaving streaks of lace. Aroma has cocoa and molasses and roasted malts. Taste is of bakers chocolate, coffee and some caramel and some licorice. Roasty and sweetly smooth. Medium to full bodied. Finishes bitter and sweet in a nice blend. Faint alcohol presence. Solid and tasty.
