Bov (13221) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - OCT 2, 2000
UPDATED: JUN 28, 2012 from Erzbierschof - pours a hazy reddish beer under a modest foam left; a subtle yet fair hoppy aroma showing notes of red fruits marmalade; medium-bodied, rounded palate, clean and decently bitter; fresh and pretty aromatic hoppy finish with more notes of red fruits

A very strong red beer - makes something like Killian's seem like water. I wish it were a little less bitter but I enjoyed it.

This is not for the faint of heart. Strong hoppy flavor all around. It tends to linger on the palate for a good amount of time. This is good or bad depending on what you like. Recommend drinking this with a salty snack.

4.3
wade (59) - Decatur, Georgia, USA - APR 23, 2000
Excellent aroma and head - looks like a real beer should. Good flavor and 'hoppy sprucy finish' is accurate.
