Bottle from drinkstore. Pours ruby red with tan foam head. Resionous spruce aroma with nuts. Sweet biscuit with a dry medium bitter finish. Wood earth dry finish. Light body but pretty tasty.

Cloudy amber color with small head. Smell is caramel malts, typical red ale, and piney-resinous hops. Taste is caramelly and with a nice bitter finish. Nice hoppy red ale!

Amber red color. Creamy taste of hoppy bitterness especially in the beginning and the aftertaste. A solid body in between.

UPDATED: DEC 4, 2014 650ml bottle from Erzbierschof. Beautiful red ale, slightly oily characteristics, with a bitter finish. Oh, and that finish. I find it hard to describe but I never had any beer with a finish like that. And I like it.

This is an extremely hop forward beer. Listed as an amber, this is more like an ipa. Bitter hoppy finish. Poured copper in color with a white head. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I really enjoy this when offered on tap. Nice malty pine aroma, malt heavy flavor backed by ample amounts of piney reisinous hops. Caramel toffe some fruitiness.

"pretty solid...considerably better than american amber from Rogue, great malt set-up and bitter finish...not as aromatic as i’d like, but worth a try. too expensive for a 3.7."

UPDATED: DEC 16, 2014 330ml bottle served in a pint glass. A: Pours a copper amber color. A bit cloudy. Forms a huge creamy and soapy beige head that leaves tons of lacings in the glass. Strong notes of crystal and caramel malts. A bit metallic sensation. Very smooth in the mouth. Balanced bitterness. Notes of toffee and bready yeasts M: Light body. Very good carbonation. Caramel and flowery hops aftertaste O: Great drinkability. Rogue quality [ BA Review @ 11/4/2013 ]

Less balanced than I would’ve liked, but at least the hop character was tasty. Lots of pine, some light tropical fruit, and a resin finish.
