A bit confused by the near perfect scores for this beer. Like most Rogue Ales, this is a bit too malty to be a true hop monster. The aroma leans strongly towards malt with earthy and subtle flowery and citrus hop notes as well. The flavor is a bit of a mess. For starters the mouthfeel is soft and a bit watery. Theres no cohesion amongst the crop of hops with each seemingly vying for my palates attention. Its simply too many flavors and they dont blend. In the end I was left with a fairly dry bitter finish with a some lemon. A very good example of why you cant just throw all the hops youve got into a batch...

This draft brew from a restaurant was served at a cool temperature and poured a head of foamy fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a uncarbonated body very hazy light orange brown colored body and a poor lacing. The mild aroma was hoppy. The semi-sharp crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a medium hoppy aftertaste. The sharp flavor contained notes of hops and malt. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.

Medium aroma of malts, caramel, orange, pine, bread, hops and citrus.

Turbid/opaque amber/orange beer with heavy yeast and with a medium off-white head.

Starts medium/heavy sweet with malts, caramel, orange and pine; ends slightly bitter and medium dry with bread, hops and citrus.

This beer is intense, complex and balanced. Great and sweet start with loads of fruit. The finish is slightly too dry with a lot of bread. Always great to see that almost all ingredients are their own.

Sampled from tap at Craft Beer Corner. Clear, orangeish amber with an off-white head. Sweetish, fruity-resiny aroma of mango, orange, strawberry jam and pine. Rather sweet, malty, fruity-resiny taste of mango, orange, strawberry jam and lots of pine, followed by a medium long, rather dry-bitter, very resiny finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice! On the malty side though.

As far as Rogue beers go, this one is about the same as all of them to me. Aroma wasnt all that promising, and taste was meh. Theres a bit of pine, and I dont really get much else. As it warms up it actually gets sweeter and way too malty. Almost to the point that its gross. Im not sold on Rogue beers, I think theyre overpriced and always under-deliver. Their hops arent that great either. Id pass on this.

Super delicious grassy, floral and fruity ipa. Lots of bitterness but smoothly balanced with malt flavor (bread and crackers). Definately one of the better IPAs Ive had.

Bottle 0,355L. Dark orange color with average, creamy, off-white head and good lacing. Aroma is slightly spicy with a fruity touch. Taste is light sweet and fruity at the begining, than turns to medium bitter with some alcohol notes.
