Rogue Fresh Roast is made with Rogue Farms barley fresh roasted at the brewery. The barley is taken directly out of the roaster and rushed 273 feet over to the brew kettle. We don’t think it gets much fresher than that, and we know you’ll taste the difference.

A Coffee Brown Ale with espresso flavor added. Tastes like a good Porter or Stout.

On tap at the brewery. Pours out a muddy brown topped with a tan head. Nose is chocolate coffee and nutty wood notes. Taste is more of the nice coffee chocolate sweetness.

Dark reddish brown with two finger fruity tan head. Aroma of roasted hazelnut, kinda similar to nut brown nectar but less sweet. It does have a very roasty, nutty and earthy flavor as well with a little cacao. Medium bodied.

3/17/2016 at Rusty Bucket in West Chester, Ohio: Not usually a fan of Rogue beer, but this one was very good... Nice darker brown color with a really good chocolate malt flavor with some roast and hints of coffee, but nothing too overpowering. Drinks like a really smooth and reserved brown ale with a reserved and subtly complex blend of dark/specialty malt flavors. I was very impressed with this beer and look forward to enjoying it again. Nicely done, Rogue. You may have won me back...

pictoman (1129) - British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 16, 2017
Poured from 650mL bottle. Dark brown with beige head. Mild roast malt with some toastiness and hints of chocolate and hops. Normally not a big fan of brown ales, but this one is quite good.

BlindGuardianco (89) - - FEB 21, 2017
solid dry beer, nice chocolate taste, feels actually a bit light but for the semi bitter aftertaste, interesting but perhaps not memorable.

travita (5006) - Dallas, Texas, USA - FEB 5, 2017
Bottle. The look is dark, cola like, bubbly but no head. Sweet, roast, coffee, malt, pretty decent. Just ok.
