COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rogue Fresh Roast is made with Rogue Farms barley fresh roasted at the brewery. The barley is taken directly out of the roaster and rushed 273 feet over to the brew kettle. We dont think it gets much fresher than that, and we know youll taste the difference.

3/17/2016 at Rusty Bucket in West Chester, Ohio: Not usually a fan of Rogue beer, but this one was very good... Nice darker brown color with a really good chocolate malt flavor with some roast and hints of coffee, but nothing too overpowering. Drinks like a really smooth and reserved brown ale with a reserved and subtly complex blend of dark/specialty malt flavors. I was very impressed with this beer and look forward to enjoying it again. Nicely done, Rogue. You may have won me back...

Poured from 650mL bottle. Dark brown with beige head. Mild roast malt with some toastiness and hints of chocolate and hops. Normally not a big fan of brown ales, but this one is quite good.

solid dry beer, nice chocolate taste, feels actually a bit light but for the semi bitter aftertaste, interesting but perhaps not memorable.

Bottle. The look is dark, cola like, bubbly but no head. Sweet, roast, coffee, malt, pretty decent. Just ok.

Medium brown, medium head. Light coffee...the roast here is kind of vegetal. The body is fairly thick, but aside from that uninteresting roast theres really nothing to pay attention to here.

Bottle from Key Market in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is roasted malts. Taste is roasted malts, charred grains. If youre the kind of person who will eat burnt quinoa at your favorite health-conscious restaurant and pretend "its not so bad", then this is beer for you.

Bottle in Seattle. Creamy, thin off-white head. Very dark, roasty coffee body. Dry roast and molasses aroma. Nice deep roast with the malts, there is something different here. Though not sure if Id have placed it as that tasting it blind. Cool body, muddy edges, nice light bitter grain. Lots of bright barley flavors, well accentuated. Easy drinker. Nice.

From a bottle. Roasted flavour with no burnt acrid taste, smooth and dangerously drinkable, great work.
