UPDATED: JUL 31, 2015 Tasted at Greg’s honey-themed beer gathering, thanks for sharing! It poured a slightly hazy yellow colour with long lasting white foam. We did a side-by-side comparison with Schlafly Kolsch, a great true-to-style example. If it hadn’t been for the Schlafly comparison, I would’ve said this is a perfectly true-to-style Kolsch, but it does in fact have subtle added honey-like traits: a little more flowery aroma, mellow residual sweetness, herbal mouthfeel. It lacks the peppery noble hop presence, but then, that might’ve over-powered the honey complexity. Well done. Delicious, I will definitely buy more of this.

Draft at Moriartys. Clear straw gold. Fizzy body. White foam up top. Floral, grassy hops. Buttered shortbread. Celery stalks. Lemon seeds. Thyme. Caramel corn. Agave. Honeycomb. Fresh grains. An otherwise medium Kolsch with a shiny citrus finish.

Sweet. Hazy. Whitish yellow. Really light body. Decent session brew. Clever use of honey from hop plants.

Pours pale yellow with a small white head and a bit of hazy. Very clean with some floral notes, pale bready malt, bit of the honey and a nice smoothness to all aspects. It has a smooth medium body with and little bit of carbonation. The flavor shows a lot more honey, very smooth pale malt, bit of spice and some light sulfur. The finish has a bit of bread and almost a bit of honey richness. NIce kolsch.

Served on tap in a pint glass Appearance – The beer is served a clear yellow-amber color with a one finger head of pure white foam. The head fades very fast leaving only a trace of lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma of the brew is very light overall with just some biscuit and a little bit of a honey smell as well as hints of floral and grassy hops. Very light, but non-offensive overall. Taste - The taste begins with a crisp bready flavor mixed with a little bit of a grainy flavor. While no honey is present upfront, as the taste moves on a honey flavor begins developing on the tongue with it gaining intensity more toward the end. Some very light floral flavors develop at the very end leaving a rather crisp and lightly bready flavor on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is quite thin with a carbonation level that is on the higher side. Both are quite nice for the mix of honey and light grain, making for a crisp and more refreshing feel. Overall – A rather refreshing brew overall with a nice easy drinking feel. It is nice for the price while on tap (in comparison to other tap prices) but if going for the big bottle it is likely not worth the high price tag.

(bottle - 750 ml) Clear gold with a white head. Light hop aroma with some dry grass notes and the barest hint of honey. Flavor is predominantly grassy hops with a lightly sweet malt backbone. Honey is maybe there? But still not bad.

Nose is honey and soft grain kolsch yeast. Chill hazed golden thin head. Flavors of honey and grain. Soft sulfur. Kolschy with honey. Kind of bores me.

Pours a merkey golden color with a huge, white foamy head. Aroma is slight. Grassy. A hint if something I can’t quite place. Taste is great in your mouth. Nice carbonation. Head is fluffy. Nice ale.

ExpendableHero (924) - Florida, USA - JUN 25, 2014
Hazy golden beer with a white head. Aromas of some wheat and funk. Tastes of corn mash, dirty water, some hints of lemon, and an almost non-existent dash of honey. Semi-sweet finish. Dry, yet oddly refreshing. Decent for what it is.

Bottle sample at my 5555th rating tasting at Sar HaMashkaot Ramat Gan. Thanks beerandbeyond. Clear golden. Aroma of graininess, honey and fruitiness. Sweet flavor with graininess, honey and fruitiness. Medium-bodied.
