Rogue brewing has made a good German style Kolsch beer. Smooth easy drinking good malty flavor slightly sweet would recommend. nealblind (1849) - Seattle, Alabama, USA - AUG 10, 2016
some head white foam. Aroma ozone, grassy german hops, honey. Tastes bready, very mild grassy hops, dry honey. A bit too much body. I appreciate the inventiveness, but seems to go against the light nature of the kolsch. polo_marco (332) - milton, Vermont, USA - AUG 10, 2016
Smells of sweet malts and rich deep honey. Nice see through golden color with no head. Nice sweet smooth malty taste followed by sweet smooth rich honey that coats the tougue perfectly. Light body with sweet crisp carbonation. Love the real thick honey flavor. Could be a great beer to bake with and drink of course. Nice work! Bottle from World Beer Market (Sake no Taniguchi). Nose of honey, bread, and floral notes. Light hazy gold straw color, thin head. Light honey, grain, some citrus peel, and moderate bittering. Fairly sweet, but it hits a good spot with the mild bittering. Sledutah (7495) - Utah, USA - AUG 1, 2016
12oz bottle from the state store milewide (2222) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - JUL 26, 2016
Pours clear golden with a medium sized white head that dissipates quickly, some lacing. Aroma is earthy, honey and lavender. Flavor of honey, grains, herbal and citrus peel
Leans bland, per style, and sweet (sweeter than style). Nice for today’s 90 degrees...but don’t need again. zoucrew102 (1820) - - JUL 23, 2016
Bottle. Sweet honey of aroma with light notes of malt and hops. Pours golden colored with half a finger of white head that has excellent retention and a little bit of lacing. Starts with rich honey sweetness with a bit of malt there as well. Finishes smooth and a bit dry with some hops before the honey takes over the palate again. Pretty sweet for a kolsch, but still darn tasty. PorterPounder (7898) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUL 8, 2016
Tallahassee, Fl. - New Leaf Market - 12 oz bottle. Brilliant, medium gold pour, quickly fading white head. Aroma is grassy with hints of fresh lake water. Flavor is crisp with some nice creamy, buttery notes, a hint of honey sweetness and a bit of sweet cake mix goodness. Crisp mouthfeel. Refreshing in the near 100° Florida heat.
