Drjohnrock (761) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 1, 2017
Draft at Mellow Mushroom in Hyde Park on November 18, 2016. Slightly cloudy yellow hue, nose that crosses your standard kolsch aroma with a pale lager-like smell, flavor is an unbalanced cross between a basic kolsch and a subdued, somewhat artificial honey taste. despite what the description says. Drinkable but stick with a kolsch from a German brewer, or try Moerlein’s Schutzenfest.

Rogue Honey Kolsch is a delicate lightly fruity affair with a medium bodied soft mouthfeel. A bit of hop zing rises in the finish. Pours hazy golden, and mostly headless. Wheat cracker nose.

5%ABV. Kolsch. Poured out gold. 6ºSRM. Nose is beery. Mouthfeel is light, watery and beery. Palate has some good solid pale malt flavor with dough, raw dough, flour and some cracked barley. Slight sweetness, not too sure if this meant to be the honey. Just enough hops at the end to leave a very clean palate feeling. Finish is clean. Overall, very pleasant and clean. I’d give it a big thumbs up though not quite list material.

Bionda velata, molto spinta sul dolce Grazie al miele. Malto e caramello davvero in evidenza ma godibile. Carbonazione non elevata.
