Hazy orange - amber beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is a little viscous with good fine carbonation. Creamy malts, slightly thick and semi sweet. Trace of caramel. Dry floral bitterness. Light citric peel. Hop spice. Smooth, semi dry pithy bitter finish. Good one but I was expecting to be blown away and I wasn’t.

Bottle split at Sentinel, thanks to James, 20/05/16.
Hazed orange amber with a decent off white head.
Nose is sweet toffee, light biscuit malt whisper, spice, booze tunes, fruit esters.
Taste comprises bitter orange, sweet licks, caramel dollop, light earthy hop, honeycomb.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
Decent enough barley wine. mcberko (19837) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 21, 2013
On tap at Rogue Brewers on the Bay, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small beige head. Aroma brings out notes of resinous hops, caramel malt, toffee, and a slight tropical fruitiness. Flavour is definitely a solid hybrid between IIPA and barley wine, perhaps slightly more so qualifying as barley wine with a lot of hoppy bitterness - with notes of toffee, caramel, and truckloads of resinous hops. Very well-balanced and blended. Solid stuff, drinkable in small amounts.

Bottle 11.6%. Hazy dark yellow with medium off-white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, caramel, toasted, fruit peel and a little floral. Flavour is malt, caramel, toasted, hop, little fruit peel, sweet, warming, notes of alcohol, little floral, grass and medium bitter. yngwie (17284) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 5, 2013
On tap at Rogue, San Francisco. An unclear, orange colored beer with a thin, dense off-white head. Mostly hoppy aroma, but with malty sugars. Orange peel, pine cones and some tropical fruit notes. A touch of alcohol too. Rather warming in the mouth, full-bodied and soft. The flavor is a bit sweet I think, but nice the bitterness brings some sort of balance. Lasting bitter finish with tropical fruits and sweetness. Nice, but too sweet. 130805 brokensail (16689) - Dublin, California, USA - JUN 22, 2015
On tap @ Rogue Public House - Portland. Clear orange colored beer with white foam. Super piney and resinous. Sticky sap and and caramel. Pretty sugary as well. The bitterness is just insanely intense. At least some good grapefruit and citrus rind. But that bitterness is just a little too much. bhensonb (15969) - Woodland, California, USA - APR 7, 2014
Capped wild 750 from BevMo in Folsom, CA. Pours hazy gold with a foamy white head. Aroma of cooked caramel with some mixed hop notes. Full bodied or more. Flavor is lightish caramel with a hop burn (unless it’s alcohol, but I don’t think so), and toffee, fruit, damn near anything but citrus. This is fantastic. Better than that. Loving it. Bomber poured a clear tarnished gold with a lasting off white head. Aromas of biscuit, earthiness, grapefruit zest, pine and light dankness. Palate was full bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, earthiness, grapefruit zest, light pine and light dankness with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish. I would have put it more in the Imperial IPA catagory.
