Formerly Chatoe Rogue Pumpkin Patch Ale.

The newest addition to the Chatoe Rogue series is Pumpkin Patch Ale, a beer made using fresh pumpkins grown in a patch that borders Rogue’s 42 acre hop yard. The pumpkins are picked, loaded into Rogue’s farm truck, driven immediately 77 miles to our brewery in Newport, quickly roasted, and pitched into the brew kettle to create a batch of Pumpkin Patch Ale.

Tap at Tadg’s. Cloudy, dark brown, fine head. A bit murky. Spicy nose, nutmeg, cinnamon, pumpkin. Very spicy, sweet, pumpkin flavor. A bit much, but nice for one. Decent body.

Bottle. Hazy brown orange pour with a thin amount of foam on top. Wasn’t expecting much, but this is one smooth sipper. Pumpkin is definitely present, but without the over the top sweetness. Medium bodied. Finishes with a heavy dose of pumpkin pie spice. This shit is delicious, probably the closest beer I’ve found to pumpkin pie without being a cloying mess. Will purchase again. Don’t spill it though, this shit is sticky.

This a great pumpkin beer that actually taste like pumpkin and not just pie spices. Dark amber color with a small white to off white head. Aroma is earthy, spice and yeast. Not a over powering pumpkin beer one you could drink 3 or 4 glasses of with out killing your palate.

Amber brown with light head when poured from a tap. Pumpkin cinnamon aroma and a smooth cinnamon nutmeg taste. Very good pumpkin beer.

Aroma: Pumpkin readily apparent, with hints of caramel malts and edges of floral hops. Appearance: Clear amber with rocky tan head. Taste: Light to medium sweetness with hints of bitterness at the edges to balance. Palate: Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation, long finish. Overall: It’s a very solid beer. The pumpkin is there, but not overwhelming, and it doesn’t try to imitate a pumpkin pie by overloading the beer with spices. It’s really well balanced and enjoyable to drink.

Bottle. Pour is a brown amber. Aroma of pumpkin (faintly), caramel, floral hops, nutmeg, spices. Taste is sweet with a medium to thin body. It is a bit to carbonated for my taste. A bit like a brown ale but with pumpkin flavor.

Clear orange pour with small white head. Aroma is pumpkin spice; coriander, cinnamon and mostly nutmeg. Taste follows nose but not as impressive.

750 bottle- Pours slightly hazy amber with a one finger head that reduces. Aroma is pumpkins, cinnamon and other spices too, but more just fresh pumpkin. The taste is the same, pumpkin, pumpkin pie spices, roasted character, moderately dry finish. Very solid pumpkin beer!
