Bomber from portage MI megabev. Pour is dark orange/brown and thick and hazy. Head is offwhite, tall at first and quickly settled to a thin layer. Aromas of pumpkin, allspice, nutmeg, cinnamon and malty beer - basically pumpkin pie scent and a strong beer scent mixed. Taste is honestly exactly the nose, with the addition of some sour bitter hops maybe? Only very faint. Is has pretty low carbonation and is a bit watery but nothing to complain about. Finish has all of the spices listed above, with a bit of tingle and leaves the mouth slightly dry. Good rogue beer.

UPDATED: JAN 6, 2018 Bottle from Key Market in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is spiced caramel, cloves, nutmeg, vanilla, cardamom, floral spice. Taste is caramel, burnt brown sugar, dry floral spices, a spike of woodsy bark in the middle (maybe cinnamon stick) and some tang. A bit too heavy on the spices and not enough on the pumpkin / malt backbone leaving this a bit too thin, dry spiced and perfume-y. cmacklin (1377) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 29, 2017
On tap. Pours a clear medium amber with a medium, frothy, long lasting, off-white head that laces. Sweet, spicy aroma of caramel malt, pumpkin, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, vanilla and cardamom. Sweet, spicy, pumpkin pie flavour of caramel malt, lightly roasted pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, cardamom and allspice with a mildly bitter finish. Medium body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Enjoyable. graham_murphy (714) - - NOV 3, 2017
Great pumpkin ale. Deep red. Lots of spice on the nose. Not too much of the vegetable taste that others have. They're not quite my thing even if I look for a few pumpkin ales at this time of the year. Will be look for more of this. stevoj (5880) - Boise, Idaho, USA - OCT 18, 2017
Draft at PreFunk. Dark amber, opaque. Scent is mostly the pumpkin spice. Taste too, but body had some heft to it. Right in the wheelhouse, prefer ones that focus on the squash over the spice benpickens (544) - Camarillo, California, USA - JUL 21, 2017
Pours brown with an off white head that holds well; nice aromas of pumpkin pie and autumn; crisp palate with a mouth coating spicy finish. One of the better pumpkin beers I’ve had.

Beautiful beer.. nice head, lacing.. great dark red color. Smells like a Yankee Candle reminiscent of the fall season...Taste is above average for a pumpkin beer.. allspice, etc. it’s all there. Balanced. this might be the best pumpkin beer I’ve had. AleRider78 (1503) - Winchester, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 20, 2017
Pours a foamy off-white creamy head and has a cloudy, dark amber/copper appearance with red hues. Weak lacing. Aromas of pumpkin spice can be found immediately, along with nutty malts and earthy hops. Flavours are similar with huge pumpkin, orange citrus, spices, mild hops and hints of cinnamon. Goes down pretty easy. Nice warming sensation on the palate and slight tnigling mouthfeel as well, fairly slick. Quite enjoyable. Beergaard (386) - Aarhus, DENMARK - JAN 28, 2017
Pretty decent stuff. Caramelish sweetness and loads of pumpkin pie like spices. Not revolutionary, but quite dead on. bdleedahl (644) - , Saskatchewan, CANADA - NOV 24, 2016
Nicely made pumpkin beer. The pumpkin flavour is clean and relatively strong, a little artificial tasting, maybe due to filtering. Bottle in Sk.

Appearance: clear medium amber with a thin beige head that retains poorly, no lacing. (3/5) Aroma: cinnamon, nutmeg, vegetal pumpkin, caramel and brown sugar. (7/10) Taste: moderate-high sweet, moderate bitter. (7/10) Medium body, lively to moderate carbonation, slightly sweet medium duration finish. (3/5)
Yeah, yeah - another punkin ale. Hey, I figured that since I love to hate on both the brewery and the style, it’s win-win either way: either I get to complain about one or the other (or both), or I get a good beer. And, it’s actually (sorta kinda) a good beer. So, I guess I’m vaguely disappointed that I don’t get to complain. Can I complain about that? Seriously, not bad - definitely as much vegetal pumpkin as spice character, and although it’s sweet it’s at least somewhat balanced by the bittering. I’ve had a lot worse examples of the style, and not many better. (14/20)
