Draft at Rogue in Newport. Musty yeast-heavy aroma with a lot of basement must and cheese rind and a light touch of skin bacteria / BO. Combination of the Revolution hop and Pacman yeast suggests an English ale yeast, actually. A lot of tingly, peppery, zesty citrus rind and pith with a crisp, smacking finish. Medium sweetness, highly bitter, good acid, firm malt texture. I’ve always been a fan of the Pacman house character, and this is another hop-focused beer from Rogue that seems to work for me, I would guess because the Revolution hop has some EKG and Fuggles similarities. Well-made, good head retention, good balance, good expression.
