Not a fan. Pours murky red/brown with a gray/tan head. Aroma is earthy/skunky. Taste is really off. Wet cardboard comes to mind. Finishes slightly fruity.

Beerwithwings (232) - Hampshire, ENGLAND - NOV 11, 2017
UPDATED: NOV 11, 2017 bottle at home. is an interesting beer has some of the rye flavour is slightly bitter and the head disappears very quickly

JPDIPSO (6286) - Wauwatosa, USA - MAY 29, 2017
Mahogany to brown in color, Dense taupe colored head. Big toasted rye scents along with a touch of smoke. Light grainy sweetness. Rye and pumpernickel. 4/13

oobawa (1738) - Tennessee, USA - JAN 19, 2017
Weird texture, almost too carbonated, enough to make me wonder if I have a bad bottle. Spicy rye hits almost immediately, then transitions into an apple-laced creamy middle with hints of peat and smoke, touched by the lightest bit of coffee and a mild herbal hop backbone. Finishes bumpy and dry, full of rye but too harsh and in need of some hop depth. Off-kilter brew, but not in the normal fun Rogue way.

Keg Half Pint at White Horse American Beer Festival 2015, Parsons Green, London in July 2015 - Dark Brown in colour. Malty; roasty grainy malts, caramel, smoke notes. Spicy rye. Earthy. Yeasty. Fruity; slight dark fruits, banana. Hoppy; grassy hops. Initially, sweetish roast malty fruity becoming increasingly bitter and dry into the finish. (2015-07-06)

mintzmeet (458) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUN 7, 2016
Interesting pour. Not much head. Nice fruity wafted aroma. Wheat and malt and nut. Not quite but almost cloyingly sweet.nutty wheat like an autumn harvest.deep mamba blast.

hopdog (13102) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 5, 2016
22oz bottle. Poured a brown color with a smaller sized off white head. Bready, some smokiness, some rye in there, and some roastiness.

oldrtybastrd (5228) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - APR 14, 2016
Pours a a mellow golden amber color. Aromas of wheat, caramel, some spice. In the flavor there are hints of orange, grapes, with a slight bitter finish.

lotsalaughs (177) - Alberta, CANADA - MAR 29, 2016
bread, toasty, spruce, earthy, leaves, smoke, brown, clear, minimal head, tan foam, light sweetness, medium bitterness, lightly sour, light body, slick feel, average carbonation, astringent, bitter, long finish Medium dark brown pour with tan foam. Decent lacing. Aromas of dark pumpernickel bread - so spicy. Earthy/spruce and some smokiness as well. Taste is grainy with a sourness overriding. Light in body with decent carbonation. Finish left a prolonged astringency which (for me) was not that pleasant. May need to try this again to see if it is the same result.

MayumiH (1224) - - OCT 9, 2015
Tap at Wells and Bucket. Dark brown. Mild, malty and sweet with a slight hop bite.

drjay44 (3830) - Salida, Colorado, USA - SEP 3, 2015
651 ml. bottle. Pours a medium, well retained, light beige head, with Belgian curtain lacing, over a clear, initially, later cloudy, dark brown (SRM 25) body......nose is heavy rye, hints of cocoa, light banana/bubblegum, slight herbal hops........taste is heavy rye, very light banana/bubblegum, no clove, cocoa, finishing with a moderate herbal bitterness.......mouth feel, medium body, no alcohol, carbonation makes a creamy mouthful. This is a nice Roggenbier ignoring the Rogue pun. The yeast contribution is a bit low for the style, but it is otherwise a good representation. Perhaps a yeast change would improve. BJCP 7/3/14/4/7
