COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly Chatoe Rogue First Growth Wet Hop Ale.
Created with hops from Rogue’s micro hop farm in Independence, Oregon. Raw hops are picked, stuffed into burlap bags, driven immediately 77 miles to Newport, Oregon and pitched into the brew kettle.

Wet Hop Ale is made with Independence and Revolution hops, with a Pinot Envy Ale, a Dirtoir Ale, a Single Malt Ale, and an OREgasmic Ale to follow.

The brew will be on draft or in serigraphed 22 oz. bottles at the Independence Hop & Heritage Festival Sept. 25th and 26th in Independence, Oregon.

On tap @ Party Town / FlorenCe KY --- Aroma of malt. Clear amber brown, foamy beige head that stays at one finger, bands of lace. Taste is malt, medium carbonation, and mild, but assertive, hops. The flavor moves directly into tea during a long finish. I can drink it, but wouldn’t be regular with it.

5th beer on the ’Six Pack Sampler’ in the Yard House, Long Beach: 7th Feb 2017. Amber with an off-white head, hop centric without trying to blow my head off with bitterness. Easy drinking IPA, and I am glad that Californian breweries are calming down a little with their hop dosages (well some are anyway).

Had on tap at The Yard House. First new rogue beer I really enjoyed in a long time. Nice happy aroma. The flavor was definitely dominated by bittering hops but that’s okay. It’s what I was craving for. Yum.

On tap @ Rogue SF. Pours clear medium orange with minimal head. Aroma is piney and vegetal hops, light caramel malt. Malt shows brighter and sweeter, but big bitter piney hops dominate. Good, though lacking the aromatics typically seen in fresh hop IPAs.

On tap at the brewpub in Newport. Hoppy with a light malty sweetness in the background. A touch of earthiness. Resiny. OK IPA finish. Good brew but I was hoping for more wet hops flavor.

not quite feelin the love on this one. a little too thick and sweet for a wet hop ipa especially. some dirt malt in there too which is not a favorite. a little bitterness and pine on the back end, but not enough to save it. premium price too."

I was able to try a bit of this at the Eugene Brew Pub. It was very very hoppy, and I mean the good kind of hoppy.

Aroma is of clove and grass. Taste is a sweet maltiness with some tanginess and slight bitterness. Body is a hazy yellow with a lace pearl head with medium retention.
