2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured from Bottle into Imperial Pint glass.
Pours a clear orange-copper color with a couple fingers of off-white head that leaves a heavy layer atop the glass. The aroma is grapefruit, caramel malt and some alcohol. The flavor is grapefruit hoppiness upfront and quickly develops into a strong malt flavor and finishes sweet and slightly dry. Its medium bodied and softly carbonated. This beer needs more hops in the nose and a more consistent hop flavor especially since its fresh hopped. I’m more looking for hop bombs from Fresh Hop ales and this just wasn’t that. This beer should certainly be considered an American Pale.
On tap @ Party Town / FlorenCe KY --- Aroma of malt. Clear amber brown, foamy beige head that stays at one finger, bands of lace. Taste is malt, medium carbonation, and mild, but assertive, hops. The flavor moves directly into tea during a long finish. I can drink it, but wouldn’t be regular with it. BlackHaddock (7515) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - FEB 9, 2017
5th beer on the ’Six Pack Sampler’ in the Yard House, Long Beach: 7th Feb 2017. Amber with an off-white head, hop centric without trying to blow my head off with bitterness. Easy drinking IPA, and I am glad that Californian breweries are calming down a little with their hop dosages (well some are anyway). thorongil2 (3259) - , Ontario, CANADA - DEC 12, 2016
(Tap) clear, very bright orange colour with a small beige head; aroma of honey; balanced flavour with a long medium bitter finish dwyerpg (6286) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - NOV 20, 2016
Had on tap at The Yard House. First new rogue beer I really enjoyed in a long time. Nice happy aroma. The flavor was definitely dominated by bittering hops but that’s okay. It’s what I was craving for. Yum. ACHops (1606) - Seattle, Washington, USA - NOV 12, 2016
On tap @ Rogue SF. Pours clear medium orange with minimal head. Aroma is piney and vegetal hops, light caramel malt. Malt shows brighter and sweeter, but big bitter piney hops dominate. Good, though lacking the aromatics typically seen in fresh hop IPAs.

Amber color with white head. Caramel, pines, juicy hops. Taste is bitter, jam, pines. Smooth carbonation. Okay. BK7 (773) - Turner, Oregon, USA - OCT 23, 2014
On tap at the brewpub in Newport. Hoppy with a light malty sweetness in the background. A touch of earthiness. Resiny. OK IPA finish. Good brew but I was hoping for more wet hops flavor. slowrunner77 (12466) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 1, 2014
not quite feelin the love on this one. a little too thick and sweet for a wet hop ipa especially. some dirt malt in there too which is not a favorite. a little bitterness and pine on the back end, but not enough to save it. premium price too." bpreo (2884) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - SEP 25, 2014
I was able to try a bit of this at the Eugene Brew Pub. It was very very hoppy, and I mean the good kind of hoppy. AgentAle (1783) - Alberta, CANADA - APR 8, 2014
Aroma is of clove and grass. Taste is a sweet maltiness with some tanginess and slight bitterness. Body is a hazy yellow with a lace pearl head with medium retention.
