I don’t get it. Not much of an aroma or palette. The flavor is subtle hazelnut, but not a lot else. Uncomplex. radagast83 (8193) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - NOV 25, 2006
22 oz. bottle (as Morimoto). Dark brown, small off-white head. Hazel Nut aromas, with a great flavor of chocolates, hazelnut, and nutmeg. Nice sweet flavor barely tastes like alcohol at all. allfreej (556) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - NOV 20, 2006
On tap at the Broadway Brewhouse & Mojo Grille (Downtown), Nashville, Tennessee. Pours dark brown with a thin, off-white head. Nutmeg, malt, and chocolate notes in flavor, with a soft mouthfeel and dry finish. BigBeer45 (1553) - Michigan, USA - NOV 17, 2006
Bomber bottle, poured dark brown and some amber, few bubbles,
nose of chocolate, hint of nuts, malt sweet, and semi-sweet chocolate,
taste of dark malts, coffee, hint of cherry, little sweet malt flavor,
some bitterness on the tongue, nice drink.

Pours a dark brown with red tendencies; head is fairly small and off-white with little lasting ability. Fruitiness in the nose is noticible right away, with notes of hazlenut (obviously), toffee, choclate, and some dates and fig, as if from a Belgian dark. Flavor is not quite the same, but chocloate dominates with toffee, hazlenut, date, and an earthy, root flavor; bitterness is low. Palate is medium with moderate carbonation and a watery, slick feel. Finishes earthy and chocolatey with dryness. One of a kind brown ale with some intiguing qualities, especially the nose, nut the finish and lack of balance really kills it for me. Plenty of charcter and better than most browns.

Color is brown and clear with a nice, off-white head. Aroma is hazelnut with hints of chocolate. Flavor is a very nice, nutty hazelnut with a bit of sweetness and chocolate to it. Very enjoyable and quite smooth and easy to drink!
16 fl oz draught, $4.00 at Dilly Deli.

6/21/2008: Rogue Hazelnut Brown has a sweet hazelnut aroma and tastes nutty and a lot like Nutella. It is balanced overall and has a dry coffee-like finish. It is medium-bodied, clear, deep golden-caramel in color, and has a khaki head. Always good!

Pours dark bown with beige head. Stunning aroma with caramel, some coffee and a little flowery tones. Taste is very full, complex with caramel and coffee. Englander1986 (51) - Middlesbrough, ENGLAND - NOV 11, 2006
The carbonation is overdone, and ruins the beer. A letdown considering I orderd it online and waiting a while to get it. Other than that though, it was a very nice brown ale. DaMenace123 (253) - Houston, Texas, USA - NOV 10, 2006
Bottle. Pours dark brown. Hazelnut aroma and flavor. Flavor was somewhat simple, and too much carbonation. Didn’t think much of it.
