2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
UPDATED: NOV 9, 2014 Bottle: Swampy brown with a copper edge tint, light clarity & light haze throughout; a soapy, beige head stretched out thinly on top. Aroma is full force sticky toffee, more so than hazelnut even. Actually only a very mild hazelnut tone in the aroma. Slightly artificial, like concentrate with an undertone of residual sweetness. Off-notes of wet cardboard & dry rot... What? Is this oxidized already? Hazelnut is more relevant on the palate... Hazelnut, cola, toffee, dry cocoa powder, & nuts, leading into a lasting woodsy & earthy finish. I’m getting that weird, wet cardboard flavor & it’s really turning me off. Not as sweet as I was expecting... Rather dry, nutty aftertaste. Wasn’t a huge fan of this one... Not sure what that cardboard was all about. I’d like to try another bottle to see if things are different, but I won’t be rushing to do so.
Hazelnut aroma with some milky and chocolate scents making it smell like all mutation od Nutella. Taste is sweet. Carbonation medium. Lower carbonation would greatly benefit it’s body. mmmeinike (192) - Odense, DENMARK - JUL 18, 2017
Brown appearance with a beige head. Hazelnuts, pecan, toffee and malty aroma. Taste of hazelnuts.

Reddy brown colour with a thin white head. Sweet hazelnut aroma with some malt too. Hazelnut dominates the flavour with a nice balance. Great take on a brown ale

A real nectar, the best nutty beer i’ve drunk. Real hazenut taste, well balanced, perfect aroma. A memorable brown ale ANZUShophunter (450) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - JUL 8, 2017
On tap at Tap’d, PA Hotel, Booval. Rusty brown with thin head. Hazelnut is quite intense from start to finish but the nutiness helps dry out the finish as needed for a classic brown ale. marcotetta (101) - - JUN 28, 2017
Drinked in a 4 months old bottle. At the nose clear notes of hazelnut, pecan , toffee, some alcoholic warmness, fantastic nose. In mouth is unexpectedly light bodied, pecan nuts , some bitterness and a tiny harness . Very good beer MD11 (26) - - JUN 28, 2017
Bevuta in bottiglia. Colore marrone non troppo intenso. Schiuma molto fine.
Textura oleosa y untuosa. Aroma a caramelo, chocolate, avellana. Sabor dulzón a caramelo, chocolate, mucho fruto seco (avellana, nuez). Lo que dice la etiqueta. Postgusto dulce. Riquísima.
