Hazy amber-red body. Intense malty aroma with alcoholic touches. Heavily bitter, moderately sweet flavour. Complex flavour. Very lovely. Lemke10 (980) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 24, 2013
Pours a dark reddish brown color with a light brown head of foam. Scent of bitter malts and hops are the most evident. Has a rather thin texture with an almost burnt wood taste to it. Some sweet caramel malts to it with an almond hint. Not my favorite of Rouge beers. Certainly unique tasting but not my kind of beer. Glad it was only a 7oz beer. umich03jm (3513) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - DEC 2, 2012
Pours a dark murky amber color with with a small bubbly head that quickly fades. Aroma is brown sugar, caramel, toffee, and spice. Taste is slightly sweet caramel and toffee with a light spiciness. Finish is pretty smooth, more caramel and a bit of chocolate and nuttiness. Pretty solid but not worth the price for the small bottle. beerledgend (1196) - Waterloo, Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - OCT 27, 2012
Bright red in colour with no head. Chocolate/hoppy aroma. Floral caramel flavour. Nicely balanced beer, not too overpowering of hop or alcohol. swigswthwolves (74) - Michigan City, Indiana, USA - OCT 13, 2012
Pours dark copper with almost no head. Smells of a complex blend of alcohol and malt. Definite notes of chocolate and brown sugar with an intense bite. A big beer that I could easily drink as a sessional.
