A - very nice astringent hop nose with a somewhat malty juniper undertone.
T - very pleasant malted hop taste.
Amber with a nice cream head. Aroma is malty, caramel, pine. Taste is a piney hoppiness, dried apricots, light maltiness, and light alcohol. scrizzz (2223) - Bothell, Washington, USA - OCT 16, 2008
Clear bronze, dense creamy white head. Juicy fresh grapefruit aroma with a bit of dirty leaf character to give this a very nice spectrum of aroma. Enough malt to provide a base for the hops to jump off. More pine than citrus, this beer fits nicely with all of the other fresh hop beers I’ve had. The beer is very smooth in its presentation and the flavors slowly build over time. Angeloregon (2055) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 6, 2008
Thanks to Ezra for the bottle of this nice beer--Deep hazy amber-orange body with a rich and thick bubbly off-white head. Sticky fresh unkilned and delicious. Centennial, Willamette, and Millenium hops give this earthy beer a hippie stink of delciousness...if this makes sense. beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - OCT 5, 2008
Hood River Hops Fest 2008. This was actually a really nice beer, often with Rogues small batches a lot of diacetyl shows up, but this was balanced and very floral. Hops had an earthy pine character, green and fresh in the finish. Balanced with a smooth malt base and crisp finish.

INDEPENDENCE HOP ALE is the name of this beer. got so confused with the new beer process. And a fine beer it is, a fresh hop ale from Rogue. Has that piny hops in a wet green forest aroma, crisp not soggy. some caramel in back. slightly cloudy copper (unfiltered) with an off white head that holds on a ibt. Real active int he mouth. flavors of pine, caramel, distant grapefruit.
