crystal clear gold with nice lacing and a medium sized frothy white head. pale malts, apple juice aroma. flavor of pale malts, light crisp hops, and a bit of bread or biscuits. clean and crisp(not dry) palate. light bodied. perfectly balanced. nicely done again by rogue. not overly carbonated either. exactly what i want in a lager. obguthr (6653) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - APR 26, 2008
Hay and grainy but clean nose. Golden color, medium head. It tastes of dandelion and honey on a bed of hay. Clover finish. Head and shoulders above other lagers. Very memorable. dmtroyer (431) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 28, 2008
22oz. Pours a very clear golden yellow with a white head that is quickly gone. I cannot believe how much I like this beer. Nose is sweet breads for days with cake like yeasty presence. Body reminds me very much of some of my favorite grower champagnes: loads of yeasty goodness with a strong citrus and almost yellow-cake like presence with strong mineral flavors to boot. The mouthfeel also mimics a champagne mouthfeel with some coating viscosity, awesome carbonation and stronger acids. This is a light beer for the wine lover and way underrated. jsmerig (1663) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 28, 2011
Aroma is of light toasty malt. Appearance is straw yellow with active carbonation and a foamy head. Taste is light and malty with a bit of lemony hoppiness. The finish is very crisp with just enough hops to offset the light sweetness of the malt. TakushBrewer (19) - Corvallis, Oregon, USA - MAY 17, 2004
Beautiful, beautiful color. Pretty tight white head. Thirst quenching, plenty of hops, though the palate was somewhat dissapointing. Still a good beer though, Rouge is my favorite, i haven;t had a beer from the brewery that wasn’t awsome.

Darkish yellow with a faint hint of orange in the hue, absolutely beautiful creamy head. Aroma was of grassy hops. Flavor matched, grassy with a bit of an herbal note. Not my favorite hop profile necessarily, but not bad. Quite full bodied. Decent. badgerben (5316) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - JAN 28, 2006
Dark yellow color with a large head that quickly melted away. Good aroma of honey and something that I could only describe as cantelope. A surprise in any beer, let alone a pale lager! Taste was more honey laden with a clean grain base. Dry finish. Not loaded with hops. I was very surprised and liked this one a lot more than I thought I would. tiggmtl (4543) - East York, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 13, 2006
Notable citrus character to the strong floral, lightly spicy, hop nose with some underlying cereal malts. Brilliantly clear golden body is topped by a decent and lasting cover of fine bubbled white head that leaves some lacing on the sides of the glass. Pleasant fruity tones to the cereal malt flavour with distinctive, crisp bitterness and a lasting sweetness in the aftertaste. Refreshingly light bodied with strong, lively carbonation the engages the tongue and opens the tastebuds. Lager glass. Fridge temperature. Bottle (Julio’s Liquors, MA, Feb-05). jgentgesdo (694) - Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA - AUG 1, 2006
Pours clear straw color with rather fizzy small white head. Nose is faint straw, wheatgrass, lemony, rose of sharon. Flavor is a premium lager revelation. Mildly sweet, slightly bitter, good dough-like malts and floral flavors, no astringency or off flavors. Clean, bitter finish with slightly bitter aftertaste. Can’t believe it comes up to 25 IBUs. Great summer beer, great lager. VitaminR (540) - Colorado, USA - JUN 12, 2008
Spicy and grassy hop nose. Medium foamy head, with some stamina. Yellow gold color, with slight orange hue. Honey and light toffee sweetness, with a solid bitterness for great balance. Great carbonation, light to medium body with a crisp finish. Interesting Lager, has many ale-like qualities, almost a Kolsch in reverse? Really enjoyed this beer.
