Aroma and flavor is mostly fruit and some mild hops. Definitely a session ale, would call this among the better that I’ve had. JimmyBoy74 (637) - Örebro, SWEDEN - OCT 8, 2016

Bottle from World Beer Market (Sake no Taniguchi), sold in Japan as "White Crane Bitter Ale". Fruity, nutty nose, with bright floral notes. Orange/amber color. Moderately rich stone fruit initial flavor, toasty malt, gentle hopping, some light but persistent citrus. Medium body, very low carbonation. Not really "biitter." Seems like a hybrid of a Belgian Ale and a fruity pale ale. petewhitley (560) - Nagoya, JAPAN - JAN 16, 2016
nuts, toast, orange, cloudy, light sweetness, flat. Nice nutty nose, a bit of burnt toast. Appealingly cloudy orange. Well balanced sweetness. Tastes as if they used very high-quality water. Excellent mouth feel; full of flavor yet disappears quickly off the tongue. Japanese imprint says 6% abv, yet listed as 5%... For what it’s worth it doesn’t taste like a 6% at all. If they’re hiding an extra percent in here, they’ve done a damn good job of it. Surprised by this, and will definitely seek it out in the future. 22oz bottle 1/12/16 (Old Notes-Oregon Golden Ale)-Pours golden with a decent head and an aroma of malt and grains. Taste of the same. This light bodied brew is well balanced and is very easy to drink. Nice job.

From notes: decent golden ale, of course hoppier than most though quite mLt heavy as well for such a low abv beer. Finishes bittersweet. johnnnniee (4249) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - DEC 19, 2014
9/7/2009 White Crane Bitter Saw this at the store the other day, and it called to me. I’m not sure what to expect as the label is in Japanese. Pours a slightly cloudy orange/amber with a big fluffy white head. Smells of citrus and floral hops, a bit of a mineral smell as well. Not much going on really in the nose. Taste is a little better with some sweet malts caramel and bread mixed up with some floral hops and that mineral tartness. Sparkling carbonation, sticky mineral-y mouthfeel, medium body. I’m not sure how old this bottle is or how it came to be available for sale in NH, but I bet its not as fresh as it should be. Nothing objectionable here, but really not up to what I consider the norm for Rogue. biirusaikou (2705) - - AUG 24, 2014
Nice toffee nose, nut. Rich caramel malt, sweet orange, pudding, bittersweet finish. Definitely sweeter than bitter, strong caramalt character, a bit too sweet for me. Pyrmir (5984) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - MAY 14, 2014
345 ml bottle. Golden amber with small white head. Aroma malty, faint varamel, bitter husky notes and lots of grapefruit. Taste is malty, fresh, faint caramel, fruit and grapefruit KansaiBeerLvrs (5096) - Kyoto, JAPAN - DEC 20, 2013
5% Bottle from Ezo Beer labeled White Crane Ale. A nice orange-gold pour with a thick off-white head. Citrus, juicy peach, yeasty aroma. The taste is fresh tropical fruits & rich caramel malts. I’m really digging the interplay between the hops & the malts-delicious. Bonus it’s less than 450 yen!
