[2986-20100627] Tap. Not much aroma, a little sweet malt grain and cleaner. Clear, dark dark red brown body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Fruity malt grain booze flavour has a long sweet aftertaste. Boozy, medium-full body. A little unbalanced but is interesting to try.

2010-06-27. Very dark brown body with a modest tan head. 3+ Very sweet fruity character with a good sized alcohol kick with picks up a good amount of bitterness in the finish. Tangy fruit character lingers.6+ Fruity, lightly yeasty aroma, mild alcohol. Average palate is lightly carbonated. Okay, nothing particularly definitive to draw you in, but not bad either. On Tap at Green Dragon, Portland.

I had this as part of a sampler at the House of Rogue in Newport, OR. Aroma is kind of like a port with definite dark fruity notes, not sure if this is oak aged, but it sure smelled like it, also had somewhat of a yeast backing in scent. Appearance is black with little frothy head. Taste has definite dark wine characteristics, fruity, earthy, smooth, but I don’t see myself drinking often. Very good. troopie (2351) - Munchen an der Willamette, Oregon, USA - JUN 7, 2010
Draught. Dark brown/black with small white head. Smoky and peaty aroma and flavour, as if this had been smoked, or aged in single malt whisky barrels. Full flavour, and full body. Finish just trails off. Doesn’t taste as strong as it says it is. boFNjackson (4201) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 2, 2010
Tap @ Cheers to Belgian Beers... Poured dark brown with a beige head. Thick palate, plumy, raisin, dark cherry flavors. Toasted malts. Drier finish, Nicely balanced with a good spiciness.
