Pours yellowish amber with white head. Little lacing. Nose is funk, berry and malt. Taste is very refreshing. Mostly light caramel malt, slight berry, juniper, tea and muted hops.

brokensail (16444) - Dublin, California, USA - FEB 15, 2010
A: A hazy golden color with a fluffy white foam. S: Very subtle citrus and pine, the Juniper is very muted, not at all what I was expecting. T: A bit of pine on the front and then pretty bland after that. Fades into some malt flavor and not much else. I was expecting to really taste the juniper, but was disappointed. M: Crisp and dry, good carbonation. D: As a gin drinker, I was hoping to experience a lot of the juniper herbalness, but it was absent. The beer still tasted okay, but I don’t think it highlighted the juniper at all. Could have just been any pale ale.

Botttle from VinensVerden, Odense. Cloudy gold with a creamy white head. Nose is moderate hoppy and malty. Floral and citrussy. Medium bodied. Crisp and dry. Well made though regular and perhaps boring.

355ml bottle (Pikkulintu, Helsinki)
6 Super sticky cakey aroma, lots of dateloaf.
3+ Pale orange, small persistent head.
6+ Sweet cakey body. Brown sugar, bread, fruits. Should probably ber served warmed, and with custard.
4 Smooth, nearly slick, but just acceptible. SImple biscuity malts and gently fruity finish.
13 Drinks pretty good. Nice strength, so very sessionable - only the sweetness would slow you down.

Benzai (15586) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - JAN 19, 2014
Bottle shared with Joes on the train to PINT Winter Beer Festival in Gouda. Clear golden color, full sized a bit rocky white head. Smell and taste malts, a moderate fruity bitterness, a touch of juniper berries is present. Average body, soft carbonation almost resembling a caskale. Decent beer.

bhensonb (15188) - Woodland, California, USA - JUL 4, 2007
Bomber. Floral, fruit, evergreen aroma. Brassy gold color with a white head that rapidly departed. Thin to medium bodied. Very moderate carbonation. Evergreen and malt, with definite bitter. Not so bitter as hoped. Nice. Definitely drinkable. Not so juniper as gin. But it is noticeable, and it certainly shows good intentions. Without more juniper it is interesting, but not outstanding. Hint. Hint.
