Slightly hazy dark golden/light amber beer, with a very nice thick ,frothy off white head. Have to give it "4" I am a sucker for a nice head!
Aroma, is pretty subdued for a Rogue beer..mostly malty, bready, doughy smells.
Taste is pretty nicely malty..same as the aroma with a touch of hop showing..i must say very buscuity very "German"
Nice palte to this one..feels very nice and not too thin.
Overall i found this very drinkable and even authentic which is saying something for this brewer. troyc (2869) - Illinois, USA - NOV 16, 2010
[Tap] Pours a light amber color with a foamy beige head. Faint malty aroma with some bread and light hops. Amber malts in the taste with caramel, biscuit and light brown sugar. Average mouthfeel and low
carbonation levels. Sweet malty finish. Kind of one dimensional and rather average. Rastacouere (6177) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 25, 2010
Pale orange to dark golden pour topped by a minimal white head. A toasty, gently biscuity, fresh cerealic nose with barely noticeable fruity hops and an almond tart nuttiness that feels a little buttery, but not disturbingly so. In mouth, while thin, it has a rather firm mouthfeel, helped by cleansing, engaging carbonation. Relatively linear, malt-focused palate that remains in lightness. Highly bready and perhaps a little past its prime, but fresh and on draught, I suppose this would have been very good, almost surprisingly so since lagers are not necessarily Rogue’s specialty. At this stage, it’s still a drinkable and pleasant brew. joeyplush (648) - Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 24, 2010
Very unimpressed. Opaque orange color, thinnish head and non-existent lacing. Aroma has a yeasty character. Flavor is slightly malty, but not very robust. Very bland beer overall - not one of Rogue’s better accomplishments. beernovice39 (3270) - Idaho, USA - OCT 22, 2010
Bottle pours a cloudy gold brew with a thin white head. Malty scent. Taste is, well, not exciting..........move along.

It pours a cloudy, burnt amber tone. It has a very light smell with really no head. It’s a good, stiff, bitter fall brew. Very decent. robiannelli (591) - West Deptford, New Jersey, USA - OCT 13, 2010
650ml pours light amber with white head. Aromas of malt and dough come through. taste is lightly carmel with lots of malt. Little bit of a sour bread taste. decent body good session beer. italianjohn (3138) - Penndel, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 9, 2010
Clear darker golden pour lots of fluffy off white head ... aroma of caramel and bready malts and some floral hop .... taste of light floral hops but mostly caramel malts and bready malts with a malty dry finish ... very drinkable and a simple marzen tmoreau (4365) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - OCT 3, 2010
Sampler at an Oktoberfest tasting at Binny’s in Glen Ellyn, IL., and poured from a bomber with an orange/gold hue, creamy and bubbly, off white head foam, and ribbons and spots of lacing. The nose presented some grain and a little toastiness. Decent malt content in the flavor, but also picked up a bit of corn and light lactic hints, while finishing fairly dry. Not a big fan at this point, but will try again in the future junon (430) - Honolulu, Hawaii, USA - SEP 29, 2010
I may have to come back to this one. Initial notes...bouquet is tight. closed. I am not getting much. Flavour wise it gets a little more interesting. Starts almost like an Ale and very briefly it has that caramel and I thought it would of been a bit fruity. However it finished crisp and vegetal.
