Really a true Fest Beir taste. Just bought a case today and tried it this evening. It’s exactly as is described. Golden Off white head, Malt arome a little dry at the end. Great german style Fest beer. Braudog (6712) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - NOV 17, 2013
Bottle. Nice, meaty lager. Ruddy orange-amber, slightly hazy. Firm but thin head. Definitely full of clean, earthy malt, this also has a nice creamy finish and a rich, earthy, overall feel. (#5335, 11/17/2013) frlrv1020 (88) - Miami, Florida, USA - MAR 19, 2014
Nice dark color for a lager! Lots of malt in the taste, medium bodied. Smells like malt and bread. nearbeer (5414) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JUN 2, 2010
Bomber. Orange-amber with a small lasting head. Nose is spicy orange marmalade, apple and light grain. Flavor is orange zest, earthy tea leaf, caramel, light resin and spicy wood. A nice, bittersweet apple-cherry wood aftertaste. Light-medium body is smooth and balanced. Reid (2536) - Salem, Oregon, USA - NOV 27, 2010
22 oz from Roth’s Sunnyside Market, Salem. $5.49
Slightly hazy dark golden/light amber beer, with a very nice thick ,frothy off white head. Have to give it "4" I am a sucker for a nice head!
Aroma, is pretty subdued for a Rogue beer..mostly malty, bready, doughy smells.
Taste is pretty nicely malty..same as the aroma with a touch of hop showing..i must say very buscuity very "German"
Nice palte to this one..feels very nice and not too thin.
Overall i found this very drinkable and even authentic which is saying something for this brewer.

Another rather unique brew from Rogue. Not really a traditional Octoberfest, an ale fruitiness seeps in, still pretty good and close to the original style. Sregnar35 (1030) - Rotterdam, New York, USA - DEC 16, 2011
On tap at Mahars. A good kick to this oktoberfest. Aroma was strong and sweet, and the flavor had a great tart sweetness. topherh (1928) - Kearney, Missouri, USA - APR 26, 2011
Pours a slightly hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet bready malt. Flavor is sweet malt, caramel, wet grain, light hoppy bitterness. halfonit (1365) - Fall River, Massachusetts, USA - OCT 30, 2011
On tap at Battleship. Pours a deep golden color. Aroma is of wheat, (typical american marzen faire), malts, and a little orange zest. Flavor is a little sweeter than I was expecting. Has some malts, wheat, yeast, and something sweet that I just can’t put my finger on. Maybe some prunes. Overall this wasn’t too bad of a brew. Originally reviewed: 11/2/11. A friend brought this over to the house last weekend for our annual pumpkin-carving-beer-tasting party. Split and poured into a mug.
This beer pours a dark amber/orange with a thick bone-white head on top. A fair amount of lace left behind after each sip. The nose is sweet with caramel, pale fruits, and faint floral tones. Good body as the carbonation bulks this up a bit. Moderate chew to it. Sweet caramel malty flavors start things out, but then a refreshing hoppy bite closes it out. I like that interplay with the hops. Nice refreshing Marzen that I will gladly have again. Thanks, Jared!
