troopie (2387) - Munchen an der Willamette, Oregon, USA - JUL 6, 2009
Draught. Poured red yellow with thin white head. A surprise as I had expected a lighter colour from a helles. Sweet malt aroma with some grassiness. Sweet malt flavour, but not cloying. Light enough to be a session beer. Lasting malty flavour with enough hops.

Oakes (18209) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 4, 2009
Bright amber. Big malty, full bready aroma is really authentic and appetizing. Creamy body has a bready bitterness. Good stuff.

unclemattie (4357) - Georgia, USA - MAY 4, 2009
tap. Golden amber color. White head. Aroma is biscuity, straw, berry, classic German style nose, medicinal hops, hints of spicy vegetables (arugula). Light bodied. Flavor is crisp malt, Heavy hop. Perfect balance (like all Rogue beers).

JaBier (8132) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - APR 4, 2011
Sample at Buckeye Beer Engine on 3/26/11. Clear amber pour with a medium off-white head. Bready munich malt aroma with some noble hops. Textbook dortmunder with munich malt flavor with noble hop crispness.

Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 2, 2009
Draught, Brick Store. Clear amber. Thick, even white head. Aroma of Munich authenticity: sweet fresh grain leaping from the glass. However, the thin body is disappointing in comparison. Finishes with a nice sweetness and is overall not bad.

maniac (3800) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - MAR 26, 2009
On tap at Capital Ale House - Midlothian on 03/12/2009. Called Rogue Collaboration, but this is about the only thing I could think this would be. Very clear amber body with a medium frothy off-white head. Sweet caramel and light floral hop aroma. Sweet caramel, honey, light fruitiness and grassy hop flavor. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - DEC 25, 2008
Tap @ Bittercreek AleHouse Boise: Pours an amber color with a light head and moderate lacing. the nose is fruity and light with an up front grape and fig note. The flavor is chewy, malty with little to no biscuit and a predominate grape and hop accent note towards the tail. Quaffable and drinkable, but nothing outstanding. A decent lager with a sweeter appeal.

beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - JAN 5, 2009
On tap at the PDX Rogue Pub. Pours deep golden amber with a thin white head. Rich maltiness up front, doughy and a touch fruity in the finish. Soft on the palate with a balanced bitter finish. Sessionable, but a bit forgettable. I thought this was a decent helles/marzen and very drinkable, but didn’t stand out.

puzzl (3260) - New York, New York, USA - NOV 11, 2009
Tap at Rattle’n’Hum. Darkish orange pour, no head. Way too dark for a dort. Generic grainy, lychee, squishy aroma. Boring vegetal flavor; too heavy.
