Deep brown pour with a generous head. Toasted malt and mocha aroma as promised. Unexpectedly light feel in the palate bouyed by the carbonation. Dark malt and coffee/cocoa tones throughout taste and nice simmering hop finish. Great porter on the lighter end of the scale. And thanks to the beer gods for allowing Rogue distribution in my area.

Bottled. Very dark beer with a strong head but little retention. The aroma is heavy on the dryness and the flavour is very dry and long lasting. Overall a very dry well hopped beer.

Pours dark brown with beige head. A little chocolate in aroma. A little coffee in flavor. But, overall not enough of either to get me excited. Could use a little more of chocolate/coffee in both aroma and flavor. Slightly thin on the palate.

Bottle. This was a bit of a disapointment, I expected a "mocha" experience but it seemed too bitter and not the flavor profile that would characterize mocha. So, not a bad porter at all, perhaps a bit more stout-like though.

Dark chocolate and coffee aroma. Pours a deep dark brown and makes a fluffy light brown head. Mocha latte flavor is subdued by strong bittering. Medium/light on the palate. A decent porter.

WOW!!! A dark mysterious brew..what to expect from this I wonder! Big, malty, but dry palate, well balanced bitterness, surprisingly, it is very refreshing...lovely!

Chocolate, coffee, malt aroma. Dark, brown leaning toward black, pour with small tan head. Bitter/sour taste tends to get in the way of the malts and chocolate. Still, enjoyable.

Very dark with a sweet roasty musty aroma. Flavour is good but it has a strange finish.

Pours a fairly dark brown, minimal head and minimal lacing. Roasted aroma and flavor, but still fairly light in flavor. Relatively high on the hop content for a porter, with a sort of salty finish. Good porter.

Bottle from Sainsburys. Black tart treacle coffee flavour and quite bitter, not very pleasant another dissappointing USA beer. Not my cup of tea, prefer Fullers Porter.
