Bottle. Deep brown color, persistent tan head that left gorgeous lacing on my glass. Aroma is gentle, chocolate and caramel malts, a bit of the earthiness that is also present in the Shakespeare Stout. Flavor is rather bittersweet, a hint of smokiness to go with a good roasty flavor that lightens as it finishes. Medium bodied, lasting mouthfeel, light carbonation gives a pleasant feel in my mouth. Overall a great example of the style, another enjoyable Rogue beer.

Pours a dark, dark opaque brown with a creamy 1/4 inch tan head. Very lacy. Smells of roasted chocolate and coffee. Taste is smoky chocolate malt blended nicely with coffee flavors. Nice coffee bitterness. Very well balanced. Full bodied and bitter coffee aftertaste. Very drinkable. When you see the words "Mocha Porter", this beer delivers all the things you would want from a beer with that name.

Hmmm. Thought I had rated this one. Oh well, here goes. Good roasty flavors but the really dry palate killed it for me. Also, I didnt pick up any fruity flavors which I have in other porters that I liked better. Ill finish the 6er but wont buy another. There are just better ones on the shelf. Surprisingly less than stellar beer from Rogue.

Quite an enjoyable porter. Way overpriced in my area, Im afraid. Im not sure why Rogue feels it can price its sixers at $10 in NC.

Yet another fine beer from Rogue. Dark brown colour with a nice tan head. Malt is the predominate flavor with the chocolate with a hint of roast shining through. If you find a bad one either its very very old or you dont know good beer.
